India Department of Science and Technology — EU-India Clean Energy and Climate Partnership

The India Department of Science and Technology (DST) seeks applications for joint research projects with partner from the EU related to renewable energy and its integration in the energy system. Applicants can request a contribution between €5 to €6 million. Projects may include prototyping, testing, demonstrating, piloting, large-scale product validation and market replication. International Trade Centre — Support for Women Entrepreneurs and Women-owned Businesses

The International Trade Centre (ITC) invites applications from women entrepreneurs and women-owned businesses for the SheTrades Invest program. Selected companies will gain access to learning opportunities, technical assistance, and a network of investors. The program is open to businesses from across Africa, Asia, the Caribbean and Latin America active in the following sectors: agriculture; energy; environment; tourism; water; and many others. Government of Japan — Japan Africa Scholarship Program

The Japan Africa Scholarship (JADS) Program, funded by the Government of Japan, provides a two-year scholarship to African students for post-graduate studies in Japan. JADS core areas of study focus include energy, agriculture, and environmental sustainability, among others. The scholarship program provides tuition, a monthly living stipend, round-trip airfare, health insurance, and travel allowance. The program is open to students who have gained admission to an approved Masters degree course at a Japanese partner university. Candidates should be 35 years old or younger. Chivas Venture — Funding for Social Entrepreneurs

Chivas Venture provides start-ups and social entrepreneurs with project funding. Past projects include projects in the thematic areas of plastic waste, agriculture, and other environmental or humanitarian themes. 20 Finalists will participate in a 3-day Accelerator Program in London and the winners share a total of US$1 million in funding. Government of India and Sri Lanka — Indo-Sri Lanka Joint Research Programme

Flame Tree Initiative — Off-Grid Energy Development Entrepreneurship Lab

Flame Tree Initiative (FTI) provides training, partnerships, and resources to promising African entrepreneurs seeking to create enterprises that address local development challenges. In collaboration with Mzuzu University, FTI invites Malawian entrepreneurs to apply to the Off-Grid Energy Development Entrepreneurship Lab (DELab). Climate Tracker — Assignment for Photographers

Climate Tracker seeks 20 photographers from selected countries in Africa, South Asia, Asia-Pacific, and the Caribbean to cover topics on global climate solutions ranging from renewable energy, climate displacement, coastal resilience, mangroves restoration, and more. Photographers will be compensated for their work with a stipend of €350. Local travel costs will be covered. Applications are invited from photographers with professional experience and knowledge of environmental and climate change issues. Photographers aged 18-30 are encouraged to apply. Netherlands Organization for Cooperation in Higher Education — Institutional Collaboration Projects

The Netherlands Organization for Cooperation in Higher Education (NUFFIC) calls for joint proposals for Orange Knowledge institutional collaboration projects. The program aims to strengthen professionals and organisations from developing countries through education and training. The maximum available funding for this call falls between the amounts of €600 thousand and €2.2 million (depending on the call for proposals). Programs include subjects in energy and food security. Government of India — India-Israel Joint Research Cooperation

The Department of Science & Technology (DST) and the Ministry of Science and Technology of State of Israel provide financial support for joint research activities carried out by Indian and Israeli researchers. The priority area under this call is Renewable Energy. The maximum funding available for all research projects under this call is Rs. 4 crore for the Indian side and 4 million NIS for the Israeli side, for the two year period.
