Climate Technology Initiative — Funding for Climate or Clean Energy Projects
The Climate Technology Initiative (CTI PFAN) provides funding to climate or clean energy projects. PFAN accepts applications for projects in low- and middle-income countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, Southeast Asia, the Pacific Islands, Eastern Europe, Central Asia, Central America, and the Caribbean Islands. Projects may request between US$1 million and US$50 million. Projects providing energy access or rural electrification (clean cookstoves, solar home systems, mini-grids) may request smaller sums between US$500 thousand and US$50 million. Proposals are invited from companies, individuals, or legal persons; public-private partnerships; and entities that are legally structured to redistribute profits. German Federal Ministry of Education and Research — Digital Green Talents Award
The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) recognizes young researchers worldwide working at the intersection of digitalization and sustainability. Awardees receive a fully funded three-month research stay in Germany in 2026, participate in a one-week SpringSchool, and join a global alumni network. Eligible applicants are Master’s students in their final year or current PhD candidates (or recent graduates within three months), under 30 years old, with strong academic records. The International Organization for Migration (IOM) launches a call for applications for the initiative “Accelerating Youth-Led Action in Addressing Climate Mobility in Africa.” The program aims to strengthen the capacities of youth and youth-led civil society organizations across Africa by providing technical expertise, resources, and platforms to lead climate mobility solutions. The iF Social Impact Prize aims to publish and support design projects that contribute to solving urgent challenges and help to improve living conditions in the developing world. Solutions should already be established and help to solve well-known issues in any category of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The best projects will share a cash prize of €100 thousand in total. Eligibility extends to non-profit organizations, companies, and foundations (student concepts will not be accepted). YMCA Network Solutions — Youth Empowerment Fund
The YMCA Network Solutions Youth Empowerment Fund is a grant opportunity designed to support youth-led initiatives that address local challenges and advance the Sustainable Development Goals. Canada Fund for Local Initiatives — Community Projects in the Caribbean Islands
The Canada Fund for Local Initiatives invites proposals that meet the needs of local communities in Dominica, Grenada, Saint Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The priorities under this call include women’s economic rights, decent jobs and entrepreneurship, and investing in the poorest and most vulnerable (which may include agriculture or aquaculture projects), as well as environment, climate action focusing on adaptation and mitigation, and water management. The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) invites fellowship applications to boost video content production and distribution of information to build awareness about renewable energy in India.
