The Jephcott Charitable Trust in the UK makes grants for charitable purposes in the subject areas of population control, natural environment, education, and health. Projects in the theme of Natural Environment include examples in small-scale agriculture, livestock production, horticulture, agricultural training, community water supply, environmental education, tree planting, renewable energy, and others. Grants are made in the range of £2 thousand to £10 thousand (in exceptional cases only, up to £20 thousand). Melania Development Foundation — Support to Grassroots Womens’ Groups
Melania focuses on self-help projects that contribute to the improvement of the social, economic, and cultural position of women in Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Latin America. Projects have to focus on income-generating activities, which may include agriculture (e.g., chicken farming, beekeeping, aquaculture, etc.) and several others. UNESCO — Environmental Sustainability and Climate Action
The Youth Impact: Because You Matter initiative seeks to support young people to help their communities through climate action and environmental sustainability initiatives, by providing them with resources and skills necessary to implement their innovative projects. Project leaders worldwide will receive US$ 8,500 each and one-to-one mentorship to implement their projects. Project proposals can be submitted until 08 April 2025. Details
Auckland Zoo — Small Grants Program
The Auckland Zoo’s Conservation Fund provides funding for ongoing projects or pilot programs with clear conservation value. The current round of funding will concentrate on innovative projects in New Zealand and the Pacific that have direct conservation benefits to coastal flora and fauna. Grants are up to a maximum of NZD$10 thousand, but most grants are smaller. The application must represent a minimum of 25% of the project’s overall budget. Applications close on 13 May 2025. Rainforest Action Network — Protect-an-Acre Fund
The Protect-an-Acre Fund makes small grants to protect forests, promote local self-sufficiency, and strengthen the rights and livelihoods of forest communities. Energy Foundation — China Sustainable Energy Program
The Foundation’s China Sustainable Energy Program makes grants for planning, policies, research, and training to improve energy efficiency and to reduce air pollution and carbon emissions in China. Grant eligibility extends to organizations in China and the USA. They include research institutes and foundations; universities; professional organizations, societies, and academies; energy technology centers; policy groups and think tanks; state-owned energy companies; regulatory agencies; and NGOs. 776 Foundation — Tackling Climate Change
The 776 Fellowship is a two-year, full-time program. Fellows will receive a US$100 thousand grant over two years to work on projects to fight climate change instead of pursuing a university degree. Fellows must be ages 18 to 24 and can live anywhere in the world. Fellows will have access to founder networks, various programming, and access to a venture fund’s operating system. Cisco — Network Technology to Solve Social Challenges
Cisco welcomes applications for cash grants from community organizations around the world who offer an innovative approach to a critical social challenge. Cisco supports non-profit organizations that apply digital technology and have a broad impact on the most economically underserved parts of the world. The maximum request amount for first-time grant recipients is US$75 thousand. Interested organizations take an eligibility quiz to determine whether they are aligned with Cisco’s mission. Applications are accepted year-round. More
