The Alstom Foundation invites project proposals from NGOs in eligible countries in the Asia-Pacific region, South Asia, Europe, Eurasia, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa (a full list of eligible countries is provided in the call for proposals). The Foundation supports a range of activities, including economic and social development, environmental protection, access to mobility, and access to energy and water. Bow Seat invites applications for the Ocean Awareness Contest to engage students in environmental conservation through creative expression. Caribbean Catastrophe Risk Insurance Facility — Postgraduate Studies in Disaster Risk Management in the Caribbean
CCRIF SPC (Caribbean Catastrophe Risk Insurance Facility) serves the Wider Caribbean Region in reducing the economic impact of natural catastrophes. As a part of its program, the facility provides scholarships to students at the post-graduate level to pursue study in areas related to disaster risk management. Eligibility extends to citizens of CARICOM member countries and/or CCRIF member countries in the Caribbean. Roots — Micro-Grants
The Roots Micro-Grants Program supports youth-led projects to empower voices from the Global South to advocate for climate justice. The program provides grants of up to US$10 thousand to initiatives that prioritize climate justice and social equity. The program will provide grants for between 10-15 grassroots youth-led initiatives, with a focus on groups in Latin America, the Caribbean, the Middle East, North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, Southeast Asia, and South Asia. EIT Climate-KIC — AI and Deep Tech for Climate Impact
EIT Climate-KIC invites applications from entrepreneurship support organizations to design and manage accelerator programs focused on artificial intelligence and deep-tech climate solutions. The Covering Climate Now Journalism Awards honors excellent reporting on critical dimensions of the climate story. Submissions are accepted from journalists everywhere, representing news outlets big and small, as well as freelancers. Outlets may also submit several entries by different journalists. Stories must be about climate change, not just the environment. Environmental stories that do significantly consider climate implications, such as the effects of deforestation on carbon storage, are eligible for submission.
