The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation (PA2F) Environmental Photography Award aims to reward photographers who put their creativity to good use in raising awareness on environmental protection. Photographers are invited to reflect on our relationship towards nature and the interrelation between human health and planetary health. Images can be entered in 5 categories: Polar Wonders, Beneath the Canopy, Life under the Surface, Humanity versus Nature, and Towards a Sustainable Future. Arab Gulf Programme for Development — Prize for Human Development
The Prince Talal International Prize for Human Development supports efforts aiming at the promotion and enhancement of human development concepts. The objective is to highlight innovative experiences and continuously support distinguished efforts in various fields of development. The 2025 Prize honors projects and initiatives in line with SDG 7 “Affordable and Clean Energy”. Prizes range from US$100 thousand to US$400 thousand. Projects implemented by UN agencies, international or regional NGOs, governmental bodies, social business enterprises, and individuals are eligible. Terraformation — Forest Accelerator Program
Terraformation accepts applications for the Seed to Carbon Forest Accelerator, a biodiversity-focused, carbon-funded forest accelerator program. The program aims to foster thriving forest communities that preserve biodiversity while increasing the global forest carbon supply. The Accelerator is open to forest creation and restoration teams of all types from around the world. Participants will benefit from expert training, information on creating and registering carbon projects, and a free feasibility study to assess their project and its ability to grow into a full-scale carbon project. Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund — Biodiversity Conservation in Madagascar and the Indian Ocean Islands
The Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) seeks to empower communities and civil society in Madagascar and the Indian Ocean Islands to implement actions to improve the resilience of species, ecosystems, and human populations to climate change. CEPF intends to make small grants of up to US$50 thousand in support of strengthening the capacity of local communities and civil society at regional and local levels to enhance adaptive capacity and reduce exposure to climate change risks, and supporting research and ensure the dissemination of results for the promotion and improvement of knowledge on ecosystem-based adaptation actions. Stiftung Artenschutz — Amphibian Conservation Fund
The Amphibian Conservation Fund supports conservation actions for threatened amphibian species worldwide. Projects must focus on species listed as Critically Endangered, Endangered, or Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List. Initiatives targeting Data Deficient or Not Evaluated species may also qualify if a clear conservation concern is demonstrated. Eligible activities include habitat protection, urgent field research, conservation breeding, reintroductions, training, education, and community engagement. Funding is available for projects up to €5,000 with a duration of up to 12 months. Proposals are accepted in English or German, and the program is open to applicants from any country. National Geographic Society — Building Resilience in Agriculture
The Building Resilience in Agriculture initiative offers grants of up to US$150 thousand to support regenerative, nature-positive agricultural projects with demonstrated real-world impact. Approved projects should be implemented on farms or adjacent agricultural landscapes and address two or more outcomes—such as soil health, climate adaptation and mitigation, watershed health, biodiversity, and improved livelihoods—through tested, science-based interventions. Eligible applicants are individuals aged 18+, with proven experience in field-based regenerative agriculture and an established local collaborator if working outside their own community. TWAS-SISSA-Lincei invites young scientists from least-developed countries to carry out collaborative research projects in Physics, Neuroscience, Mathematics, and Science Outreach as well as projects that fall under the umbrella of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Scientists have the opportunity to visit research laboratories in Trieste (Italy) to carry out research work in scientific fields within the SISSA portfolio.
