Submissions are open for the Posterheroes contest that calls for posters about social and environmental issues. Posterheroes invites students, professional designers, and everyone who is into graphic design to create a poster. Participants can win a cash prize of up to US$2,500. The SustainE Young Researchers Award aims to recognize and reward outstanding research in sustainability by young scholars. The award includes a $1000 prize for the best paper. Eligibility extends to researchers under 40 years with original, unpublished papers on sustainability issues (including environment and energy). The application deadline is 25 August 2025. The Khwarizmi International Award recognizes outstanding scientific achievements made by researchers, inventors, and innovators from all over the world. The disciplinary fields include Agriculture, Natural Resources, Animal Sciences & Veterinary Medicine, Biotechnology, Green Technologies, among others. The deadline for submission is 01 October 2025. The Green Foreign Policy Fellowship supports scholars, practitioners, and experts worldwide in advancing progressive foreign and security policy. Fellows receive a €6,000 stipend, travel support, and opportunities for international networking and policy engagement. Applicants must be recent graduates, PhD candidates, or professionals with a background in international relations or political science, and a demonstrated interest in green foreign policy. The North American Association for Environmental Education offers a grant opportunity in E-STEM education to solve environmental issues. The Pratt & Whitney E-STEM Awards support new and existing programs that engage students in meaningful STEM learning experiences through environmental problem-solving. The E-STEM Innovation Grants provide funding of up to US$15 thousand for new or enhanced programs, and the Global E-STEM Excellence Prize awards up to US$50 thousand to nonprofit organizations. The opportunities are open to nonprofit organizations around the world that engage students (ages 11-18) in E-STEM programming. Applications are due on 02 July 2025. E-STEM Education

The International Collaboration Awards provide funding to enable research leaders in the UK to develop research collaborations with international partners. The grants are open to newly independent researchers ready to lead an international research program. Applications can apply to the Royal Society for up to £225 thousand over three years. The Sony World Photography Awards, one of the world’s leading photography competitions, recognizes the best single images from across 10 diverse categories, including ‘Landscape’ and ‘Natural World & Wildlife’. The overall winner in the Open Competition will receive US$5 thousand plus photography equipment. The closing date for entries is 06 January 2026. Know more

The Asia Foundation makes grants in a wide variety of program areas, including the Environment. Thematic interests in the environment include natural resource management and use; water resource management and transboundary water sharing; climate change adaptation and resilience; disaster preparedness and risk reduction; urban environmental issues; and women and the environment. The YMCA Network Solutions Youth Empowerment Fund is a grant opportunity designed to support youth-led initiatives that address local challenges and advance the Sustainable Development Goals. The grant is open to YMCA National Movements and their local associations in countries eligible. Grants of €10 thousand to €20 thousand are available for national projects, and up to €30 thousand for multi-country collaborations involving at least three countries. The Canada Fund for Local Initiatives invites proposals that meet the needs of local communities in Kosovo. The priorities under this call include women’s economic rights, decent jobs and entrepreneurship, and investing in the poorest and most vulnerable (which may include agriculture or aquaculture projects). The average contribution is C$20 thousand to C$35 thousand per project. Eligibility extends to local community organizations, non-profit organizations, and academic institutions.
