The Czech Republic provides scholarships to support nationals from developing countries at public institutions of higher education in the Czech Republic. The fields of study include ecology, wildlife management, natural resources, forestry, and tropical agriculture (among others). Applications need to be submitted before 30 September of each year. The GSMA Mobile for Humanitarian Innovation Fund seeks innovations in the use of mobile technology to address humanitarian challenges. This funding round will test new technical solutions and catalyse ideas to improve food security and adaptation/resilience to climate change, among others. Projects should be implemented in Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and North Africa, or Latin America. The Youth Sub-Committee seeks submissions from youth, showcasing their work inspired by the Sustainable Development Goals at the 67th UN DPI/NGO Conference, ”We the Peoples”. Video submissions should show why Multilateralism is needed in ending poverty, addressing climate change, forging equality and ensuring access to education in order to create a more peaceful world. The World Bank, in collaboration with the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data (GPSDD), is interested in supporting innovative collaborations for data production to be directed towards sustainable development. Consortium members may include social enterprises, for-profit companies, non-profit organizations, government agencies, and academic organizations. The India Department of Science and Technology (DST) and the State Committee of Scientific Research of Belarus invite joint R&D project proposals from scientists & technologists. Focus areas include energy; biotechnology; agrotechnology and food security; and clean technology for environment; among others. The funding will cover research expenses and exchange of visits for research projects. Research projects should be carried out jointly by research teams from India and Belarus. The NGS seeks proposals from around the world that advance the science of nature communication by systematically testing visual communication and education methods. The call is intended for visual artists, photographers, and videographers who aim to more effectively create and use images or video to overcome apathy towards species and ecosystems. APSA calls for prototypes providing a solution for sustainable development and environmental problems in the form of Clean Energy Production, Up/Down/Re-Cycling, Water Treatment, etc. This challenge is aimed at young scientists and entrepreneurs from Africa. The IRDR seeks to strengthen science capacities for sustainable development and disaster risk reduction. The International Training Workshop on Big Earth Data for Disaster Risk Reduction in Beijing (China) will provide a scientific and practical guide on disaster risk reduction to participants from developing countries. Selected applicants will be provided round-trip international airfares, and the local expenses such as board and lodging, field tour, local transportation, etc. during the workshop.
