The Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) invites applications to the workshop “To Save the Water…Let’s Talk About Shit”. The workshop will focus on the roles of Youth and the Media in Caribbean Wastewater Management. Participation is open to Caribbean Youth and Journalists residing in Caribbean countries. As part of the workshop, participants will also be given the opportunity to create social media content to raise awareness amongst the wider public. EuroMarine — School on Ocean Transformation
EuroMarine launches a call for proposals to host the inaugural EuroMarine School on Ocean Transformation. The School is an opportunity to host a training workshop that will equip attendees with new knowledge to address ocean challenges and should address one or more of the key priorities and challenges in marine science. The maximum budget available is €25 thousand. Proposals should involve at least three full Member Organizations of EuroMarine, from at least two different countries. The Takagi Fund for Citizen Science invites grant applications from groups and individuals in Asia pursuing “Citizen Science”. Research Grants may cover research and travel expenses, printing, as well as workshops or symposia to communicate research findings to the public. Training Grants are to support an individual receiving training at educational institutions, NGOs, research institutes and can be used to cover travel, accommodation, tuition or related costs. The United States Agency for International Development (USAID/India) seeks concept papers for a cooperative agreement from qualified organizations to implement the ‘Strengthening Landscape Management and Conservation’ activity. The activity focuses on three main objectives: (1) Improved management of protected areas and their corridors for wildlife conservation and other ecological benefits; (2) Improved inclusive livelihoods from ecosystem services, and (3) Strengthened conditions for institutionalizing landscape conservation. Finduddannelse.dk is a Danish platform for lifelong learning. The platform offers a scholarship to a student for masters studies. The applicant must have been accepted to a masters program and aim to make the world more sustainable through their studies , for example, through clean energy, biology, sustainable agriculture, or any other relevant field. The scholarship offers up to €5000 to help cover tuition fees. Applicants from all around the world are welcome, however, candidates must be fluent in English or Danish. International Fund for Agricultural Development — Indigenous Peoples Assistance Facility 2022
The Indigenous Peoples Assistance Facility aims to strengthen indigenous peoples’ communities and their organizations by financing small projects which foster their self-driven development in the framework of the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. Focus is climate change adaptation, resilience and biodiversity in/for indigenous peoples’ communities to improve indigenous livelihoods. Proposed project budget requests should range between US$20 thousand and US$70 thousand, and include a minimum contribution by the grant recipient of 20% (cash or in-kind) of the total request. BIOPAMA — Small Technical Grants for Assessment of Conservation Areas
Biodiversity and Protected Areas Management (BIOPAMA) makes small grants for the technical assessment of protected conservation areas. Small Technical Grants for Assessment (STGA) aim to identify result-oriented priority actions for improved protected and conserved areas management and governance. Grant size can vary from a minimum of €50 thousand to a maximum of €100 thousand. Assessments must take place in priority areas such as key landscapes for conservation, key biodiversity areas, marine managed areas or other protected and conserved areas in the Caribbean. Crowd4SDG — Climate Resilience and Justice
Crowd4SDG seeks research projects that address the issues of climate resilience and justice. Participants may submit a project or an idea for a solution that supports individuals and communities’ preparedness for Climate Change. The challenge offers a 5-week online interactive coaching program. The selected applicants will be coached on how to turn an initial idea into a compelling crowdsourcing project. The top two teams will be invited to present their projects to potential UN and NGO partner organizations as well as impact investors. Fondation Segré supports on-the-ground conservation actions with the goal of improving the status of threatened animal species (terrestrial, freshwater and marine) and their habitats across Asia, the Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean, Africa, and the Middle East. Research Support Grants have a maximum grant size of €5 thousand to support young and early scientists in their research to improve knowledge on threatened species and their role in natural ecosystems.
