Velux Stiftung — Sustainable and Integrative Forest Management
Velux Stiftung seeks solutions for adapting to or mitigating climate change, promoting biodiversity, and providing resilient ecosystem services while supplying sustainable forest products. Proposals can be for an implementation-oriented research project that has a high potential to foster change in practice. Projects dealing with all types of forests: boreal, temperate, tropical, and subtropical forests are welcome. Projects may last from 1 to 4 years. The Pollination Project (TPP) supports individuals and groups who are working to protect farmed animals. TPP funds projects that aim to reduce the consumption of animals, advocate for farmed animal welfare, and raise awareness about farmed animal cruelty. Terraformation — Seed to Carbon Forest Accelerator
Terraformation launches the second call for the Seed to Carbon Forest Accelerator, a biodiversity-focused, carbon-funded forest accelerator program. The program aims to foster thriving forest communities that preserve biodiversity while increasing the global forest carbon supply. The Accelerator is open to forest creation and restoration teams of all types from around the world. Participants will benefit from expert training, information on creating and registering carbon projects, and a free feasibility study to assess their project and its ability to grow into a full-scale carbon project. The International Biodiversity Program by halting and reversing biodiversity loss in collaboration with women and Indigenous Peoples. The program focuses on reversing biodiversity loss by addressing its direct drivers beyond climate change—namely, land- and sea-use change, the overexploitation of species, invasive alien species, pollution, and agriculture. Partnership for Observation of the Global Ocean — Shipboard Fellowship 2025
The Partnership for Observation of the Global Ocean (POGO) offers several shipboard fellowship opportunities. This fellowship program aims to promote training and capacity building leading towards a global observation scheme for the oceans. Eligibility extends to early career scientists, technicians, PhD and MSc students, and Post-doctoral Fellows involved in oceanographic work at centers in developing countries and countries with economies in transition.
