EarthRanger offers two grants in the amount of US$15 thousand to organizations that are deploying technology to advance their work in conservation. Any organization, protected area, and government entity working to safeguard wildlife and their habitats through tech, including but not limited to, the security of endangered animals, animal behavioral research, anti-poaching enforcement, ecological management, and human-wildlife coexistence, is eligible to apply. Conservation Nation — Global Grant Program
The Conservation Nation Grant Program provides funding to help save endangered animals and their ecosystems. This grant will assist early to mid-career conservationists in their efforts by granting up to US$2,500 each, which will fund activities that are essential for their life-saving work but may not be covered by standard grant programs. MacArthur Foundation — $100 Million to Solve a Critical Problem
The MacArthur Foundation accepts applications for the 100&Change Competition to fund a proposal that promises real and measurable progress in solving a critical problem of the time. Applicants must strive toward transformative change in areas of profound concern, including the existential threats of climate change. The MacArthur Foundation will provide US$ 100 million in funding to a single proposal. The challenge is open to organizations and collaborations working in any field, anywhere in the world. Government of Canada — Biodiversity Financing
The International Biodiversity Program by halting and reversing biodiversity loss in collaboration with women and Indigenous Peoples. The program focuses on reversing biodiversity loss by addressing its direct drivers beyond climate change—namely, land- and sea-use change, the overexploitation of species, invasive alien species, pollution, and agriculture. Save Our Seas Foundation — Small Grants 2024
Save Our Seas makes grants for marine research, conservation, and education worldwide. Only projects concerned with marine chondrichthyan species (sharks, rays, skates, sawfishes, and chimaeras) will be considered. Nagao Natural Environment Foundation — Support for Young Scientists from Asia-Pacific
The Nagao Natural Environment Foundation (NEF) aims to build the capacity of young scientists in developing countries of the Asia-Pacific region. Young researchers (under 40 years old) can submit fieldwork-based projects in the areas of biology; biodiversity; wildlife and restoration of ecosystems; and relationships between nature and humans. The Prince Albert II Foundation is dedicated to the protection of the environment and the promotion of sustainable development on a global scale. The Save Our Seas Foundation funds and supports marine and ocean research, conservation, and education projects worldwide. Projects have to focus on charismatic threatened wildlife and their habitats, with a particular concern for marine chondrichthyan species (sharks, rays, skates, sawfishes, and chimaeras). U.S. Department of State — Countering Wildlife Trafficking
The U.S. Department of State seeks to strengthen the capacity of wildlife institutions and actors in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. The call seeks to enhance law enforcement and justice sector efforts to counter wildlife trafficking, ultimately helping to disrupt wildlife trafficking operations, and removing opportunities for criminal organizations to profit from illicit proceeds derived from the wildlife trade. Funding ranges from US$150 thousand to US$3 million. Eligibility for this award is restricted to US-based and foreign non-profit organizations and educational institutions.
