Water and Energy for Food — Regional Innovations Southern and Central Africa

Water and Energy for Food (WE4F) seeks business owners and entrepreneurs in Southern and Central Africa who have innovative water-food, energy-food, and water-energy-food solutions. Individual awards for innovators are expected to range from US$40 thousand to US$200 thousand, depending on the type of funding requested. The call is open to mid- to late-stage enterprises, nonprofits with a for-profit program, and other organizations based in Southern and Central Africa. MDPI — Remote Sensing Young Investigator Award 2024

MDPI, a publisher of peer-reviewed, open access journals, invites nominations for the Remote Sensing 2024 Young Investigator Award. The winner will receive CHF2000. This prize will be given to one young investigator in recognition of their contribution to the advancement of remote sensing science or applications. United Nations Framework Convention of Climate Change — Water Changemaker Awards 2023

Water Changemaker Awards is a global initiative that aims to recognize high-level commitment and leadership for climate resilient water investments to support a water-secure world. The initiative promotes the most promising climate resilient innovations to enable them to access new and innovative finance sources. Selected Water Changemakers will receive technical assistance and seed funding to scale up their innovations. Entities are eligible if they have been operating for at least one year. MDPI — Remote Sensing Travel Award 2024

MDPI, a publisher of peer-reviewed, open access journals, invites applications for the 2024 Remote Sensing Travel Awards. Remote Sensing will make two awards of CHF800 each to two selected PhD students to present an oral presentation and/or poster at an international conference in 2024. MDPI, a publisher of peer-reviewed, open access journals, invites applications for the Water 2024 Best Paper Award for research and review articles published in Water in 2022. Global Water Partnership-Caribbean — Water and Wastewater Management

Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) supports the implementation of short-term, small-scale, innovative demonstration Integrated Water and Wastewater Management (IWWM) projects in the Caribbean. Each project for rural community-based interventions for wastewater management must have a total cost of no more than US$20 thousand with a duration no longer than six months. Interested organizations registered in the following countries: Jamaica, Barbados, Antigua and Barbuda, The Bahamas, Guyana, Grenada, Dominican Republic, Trinidad and Tobago, Saint Lucia, Belize, Suriname, St. Kitts and Nevis and Dominica are eligible to submit a concept note. Embassy of France to the Philippines — Support for local NGOs

The Embassy of France supports local organizations and calls for the submission of project proposals. The project can be related to environmental issues or other issues, as long as they benefit disadvantaged communities or social groups. This year, two grants of PHP300 thousand and PHP100 thousand will be awarded. Eligibility extends to locally recognized organizations, associated with the activities collectively implemented by the network of Franco-Philippine’s associations. Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research — Women’s Collective Action in Agri-food Systems

The Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) aims to support a research project aimed at generating evidence on women’s collective action in agri-food systems from MENA and South Asia. Scottish Government — Asia Partnerships Higher Education Research Fund

The Royal Society of Edinburgh (RSE) Scotland Asia Partnerships Higher education Research (SAPHIRE) Fund is available to Scottish universities to enable research to include a focus on environmental issues and climate change. Funding of up to £10 thousand will be provided to support existing research projects in climate research, emissions research, sustainable energy, sustainable agriculture, biodiversity, water and food, and clean water, among others. The scheme is open to Scottish researchers with a partner from either Australia, India, Japan, Pakistan, South Korea, Singapore or the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). International Water Resources Association — Publication Mentorship Initiative

The International Water Resources Association (IWRA) invites early-career water professionals to submit applications for the Publication Mentorship Initiative. The program aims to facilitate and encourage mentoring junior water professionals through the development of articles that are publishable in academic journals. Applicants must be academics, advanced post-graduate students, or professionals working in the water sector no older than 35 years. Applications must be submitted no later than 31 July 2023.
