The Teach4SDGs program is a 12-week intensive training that includes workshops, lectures, comprehensive readings and assessments, and practical projects that will allow school educators to deepen their understanding of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The program will provide teachers with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to effectively teach their students about the SDGs. Each Fellow will learn advanced skills in entrepreneurship and leadership. US$25 thousand in seed funding will be distributed among the 25 Ford Fund Fellows. The One UN Climate Change Learning Partnership (UN CC:Learn) provides free resources and online courses to achieve climate change action both through general climate literacy and applied skills development. This free online course focuses on why promoting gender equality and women’s empowerment can help deliver better environmental outcomes in the fight against climate change. Participants will receive facts and figures on gender dimensions linked to biodiversity, climate change, land degradation, international waters, and chemicals and waste. The course is self-paced. The International Training Centre for Operational Oceanography aims to familiarize young professionals in the Indian ocean-rim (IOR) countries with the latest developments in the field. Iridescent — Technology Entrepreneurship Program for Girls
Technovation invites teams of girls from all over the world to learn and apply the skills needed to solve real-world problems through technology. Girls work with women mentors, find a problem in their community and develop a mobile app to launch a startup. Categories may include environment, poverty, health, and others. CNN Academy — Climate Storytelling Program
CNN Academy and The Rockefeller Foundation seek 15 driven young journalists across the Global South who are dedicated to shedding light on the profound effects of the climate crisis within their home countries. Selected climate storytellers will attend a comprehensive media training program delivered by CNN Academy that covers various aspects of climate change reporting. At the conclusion of the program, participants will produce a compelling short documentary spotlighting the impact of the climate crisis. Selected participants will receive full sponsorship to attend the media training program, which includes travel expenses, accommodation, training materials, and meals during the program. World Wildlife Fund U.S. — Cassagnol Fellowship
The Cassagnol Fellowship offers seed funding for EFN alumni to lead innovative programs that promote long-term outreach and capacity building in their areas of research, education, and training. The Fellowship aims to support promising conservation leaders who enhance co-development of initiatives that amplify local ownerships. The fellowship covers a duration of 12 months and applicants may request up to US$15 thousand. Applicants should have completed their PhD or master’s degree and hold an appointment at either a university, research, government, or non-government institution in Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, or Asia. The Young SDG Innovators Program is an accelerator program for future business leaders and changemakers to develop and drive innovative SDG solutions through new technologies, initiatives, and business models. Participants participate in online and in-person workshops, case studies, company visits and forum discussions. Companies based in Brazil, China, Kenya, Mexico, South Africa, Ukraine, United Kingdom or the United States have the opportunity to collaborate with their Global Compact Local Networks to nominate young professionals for the program. U.S. Department of State — Algerian Youth Leadership Program
The Algerian Youth Leadership Program at the University of Nevada (Reno, USA) is a leadership development opportunity for Algerian and American youth. The program offers workshops and activities about civic participation and the role that social enterprises play in a community. Youth who are eligible to apply must be a legal citizen of Algeria, be 15-17 years old and have at least one year of high school remaining after the program. The Green Web Foundation — Green Web Fellowship
The Green Web Foundation seeks practitioners for a paid part-time fellowship of 10 months. Successful fellows will deliver a project that contributes to the digital rights and climate justice movements. Fellows participate in workshops on effective climate communication, digital sustainability and more.
