Voice — Innovate and Learn Grants
Voice Philippines opens the first Call for Proposals for the Innovate and Learn Grants. The call aim is to address issues and challenges in agriculture and fishing communities that impact local farmers and fishers. Awarded grants must focus on the defined themes and targets in the Philippines. Grants range from €5 thousand to €85 thousand for up to 6-12 months. The application deadline is 31 May 2019. Link
European Commission — Cross Border Cooperation Programme for Environment
The EC announces funding for the Cross Border Cooperation Programme for Environment – Albania Kosovo. The objectives of the programme are to strengthen good neighbourly relations and foster environmentally friendly and social inclusive economic development of the bordering regions, through the promotion of their touristic potential and respect of its common cultural and natural heritage. The first lot will be allocated to the development of green economy and circular economy, and the second lot to tackling water pollution and promoting climate change adaptation related to water basins. Eligibility for funding extends to non profit legal organizations from either Albania or Kosovo. The grant requested under this call for proposals must be between €420 thousand and €840 thousand for Lot 1 and between €600 thousand and €1.2 million for Lot 2. U.S. Department of State — Building Cooperation to Combat Wildlife Trafficking Between Africa and Asia
The U.S. Department of State seeks proposals to improve cooperation between governments in Africa and Asia to combat wildlife trafficking and implement joint action to dismantle the transnational networks that perpetrate these crimes. The project budget must fall between US$500 thousand and US$950 thousand. Eligible organizations include U.S. and overseas based non-profit organizations (NGOs) or educational institutions. British Council — Researcher Links Workshop: Transition to Low/Zero Carbon Transport
The British Council and the Newton Fund support the University of Birmingham and the University of Jordan to hold a workshop on the transition to low/ zero carbon transport in Amman. This workshop aims to provide a platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration between early-career researchers addressing the global challenge of clean transport in the context of Jordan. The invitation extends to researchers from the UK and Jordan to interact and explore research collaborations. All travel and accommodation expenses will be covered.
