Asia Foundation — Development Fellows 2026

The Asia Foundation’s Development Fellows program provides qualified young Asian professionals with an opportunity to strengthen their leadership skills and gain in-depth knowledge of Asia’s critical development challenges. The program offers two weeks of leadership training in Asia and another two weeks in the USA, plus a grant of US$5 thousand to support individual plans for professional development. Applicants should be less than age 40 and have demonstrable experience in one of the program’s fields of expertise, which include environment (among others). The program is open to resident nationals and citizens of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pacific Islands, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam. British Council — Climate Skills Global Collaboration Grants

The Climate Skills Global Collaboration Grants supports joint projects that design and deliver training in green entrepreneurship and climate-related skills for young people aged 18–30. Each selected partnership will receive up to £85 thousand, shared between the UK and partner institutions, to implement projects running for about nine and a half months. UNOPS — Pollution in the Black Sea

The Eco-Innovation Challenge seeks innovative solutions to tackle pollution sources such as agricultural runoff, municipal wastewater, industrial chemicals, and marine litter affecting the Black Sea. Innovators from eligible countries may apply through two windows: a Focus Country Window (Georgia, Moldova, Türkiye) for deployment-ready interventions (grants of US$50 thousand to US$300 thousand) and a Greater Black Sea Window for earlier-stage ideas (technical assistance up to US$20 thousand). UNESCO — Youth Innovation Contest

The UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education (UNESCO IITE) invites children and young people to take part in the 2025 Youth Innovation Contest. Participants can submit creative works that reflect their vision of a more sustainable planet, using any format (painting, story, poem, or a research essay). The contest is open to two age groups: Children’s Group (5-12 years old) and Youth Group (13-17 years old). Participants are encouraged to create works focusing on Climate Change, Biodiversity, Building Sustainable Communities, Protecting Water Resources, and Clean Energy. Japan Fund for Global Environment — Environmental Conservation Grants 2026

The Japan Fund for Global Environment makes grants to non-profit organizations in Japan and developing countries for field projects in environmental conservation. Grants are for grass-roots projects and range from 500 thousand to 3 million JPY. Each non-Japanese applicant needs to have an agent in Japan to communicate and apply in the Japanese language on behalf of the applicant. The application deadline is 17 November 2025. Masdar — Leadership Training and Mentorship

The WiSER Pioneers Program offers young women aged 25 to 35 access to educational workshops and global networking opportunities. The program empowers young women to take a leading role in the global transition to a net-zero future. Applicants must be employed or self-employed and hold a degree in a field related to the environment, energy, sustainability, or STEM disciplines. Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture — Photo Contest

The SEARCA Photo Contest with the theme “Beyond the Harvest: People and Processes in the Agriculture Value Chain” seeks images from across Southeast Asia that showcase moments that connect producers with markets, communities, and consumers. The contest is open to all Southeast Asian nationals. Winners receive cash prizes of US$1000 (1st place), US$800 (2nd place), and US$500 (3rd place). American Museum of Natural History — Ornithology Research

The Frank M. Chapman Memorial Fund supports ornithological research anywhere in the world. Chapman Research Grants are small short-term awards for research that are available to graduate students for expenses associated with projects primarily focused on the systematics and evolutionary biology of birds. People Powered — Climate Democracy Accelerator

The Climate Democracy Accelerator (CDA) is a six-month, practice-oriented training and support program. Participants will develop a project to implement a climate-focused participatory program that addresses the needs and voices of local communities. Selected applicants will have access to a US$10 thousand implementation grant. The program is open to applicants from all over the world. The application deadline is 30 November 2025. Ernest Kleinwort Charitable Trust — Medium Grants for Conservation 2026

The Ernest Kleinwort Charitable Trust makes grants to charities working in the area of wildlife and environmental conservation in the UK and internationally. The international grants are primarily for conservation projects in the developing world. The applying organization has to be a charity registered in the UK. Applicants may request medium grants (up to £10 thousand). The Fund offers 4 application windows for medium project grants per year: 04 January – 04 February; 18 April – 12 May; 10 July – 13 August; and 09 October – 12 November 2026. Know more
