The Pollination Project — Animal Welfare Grants
The Pollination Project (TPP) supports individuals and groups who are working to protect farmed animals. TPP funds projects that aim to reduce the consumption of animals, advocate for farmed animal welfare, and raise awareness about farmed animal cruelty. The Pollination Project supports individuals and groups with US$1,000. Grants are open to anyone in the world, but applications from people in Brazil, India, and Mexico are especially welcome. Government of Canada — Biodiversity Financing
The International Biodiversity Program by halting and reversing biodiversity loss in collaboration with women and Indigenous Peoples. The program focuses on reversing biodiversity loss by addressing its direct drivers beyond climate change—namely, land- and sea-use change, the overexploitation of species, invasive alien species, pollution, and agriculture. Royal Caribbean Cruises supports local communities invested in marine conservation and education. For that purpose, the company awards cash and cruise donations to be used for fundraising purposes to non-profit organizations with like-minded goals. The Rescued Tools Foundation (Stichting Gered Gereedschap) collects and refurbishes discarded tools and small items of equipment in the Netherlands for the benefit of recipients in Sub-Saharan Africa. The priority countries are Uganda, Malawi, Tanzania and Ghana. CS Fund and Warsh-Mott Legacy — Agriculture and Food Sovereignty
The CS Fund and Warsh-Mott Legacy take an activist approach in making grants to defend the traditional management of agriculture and natural resources in the Global South. Specific interests include protecting local seeds and reducing chemicals in agriculture; regulating the introduction of genetically modified organisms; and supporting communities in their self-governance of natural resources. Institute of International Education — Scholar Rescue Fund
The IIE Scholar Rescue Fund (IIE-SRF) provides fellowships for professors, researchers, and public intellectuals who face threats to their lives and careers in their home countries. Fellows will receive temporary academic positions at institutions of higher learning anywhere in the world where they can continue their work in safety. Professors, senior researchers, and public intellectuals from any country, academic field, or discipline may qualify. Finnish Government — Recruiting Foreign Doctoral Students
The EDUFI Fellowship provides initial funding to carry out research for a doctoral thesis in Finland. Researchers or Teachers in Finnish university departments, who wish to recruit a doctoral student or a young researcher from outside Finland, can apply on behalf of the foreign student. The fellowship grant is intended for post-graduate studies as well as research and teaching cooperation in Finnish universities and covers the living costs of the fellow.
