EnAccess Foundation — Innovations for Energy Access
The EnAccess Foundation funds Innovation Pilot projects and Moonshot concepts focusing on providing energy access. EnAccess provides up to US$250 thousand for projects that are ready to be built and prototyped (e.g., hardware, software, business models) and US$50 thousand for ambitious research ideas in the conceptual stage (e.g., analysis and modeling). Eligibility extends to start-ups, companies, non-profits, individual innovators, investors, and researchers. Moonshot concepts and Innovation Pilot proposals can be submitted anytime. Energy Access
Green Climate Fund — Readiness Grants
The Green Climate Fund offers grants up to US$1 million per country per year to help developing countries understand the GCF program, and to submit applications for accreditation. Priority for the readiness grants focuses on the Least Developed Countries (LDCs), Small Island Developing States (SIDS), and African States. Proposals for readiness grants are submitted through the country’s National Designated Authority or Focal Point for the GCF. Proposals can be submitted at any time. Know more
Vegan Society — Grant Program
The Vegan Society supports projects that support small scale animal agriculture farming to transition to crop farming or land management. Or other forms of sustainable land management that don’t use animals. The typical award is no more than £1 thousand. The Vegan Society welcomes applications from across the world. SEED — Workshop and Support for Eco-Enterprises
The SEED Replicator program offers incubation workshops to identify opportunities for enterprise creation and to guide aspiring entrepreneurs and business owners looking for partnerships to build an eco-inclusive business model. SEED Starter program guides participants from the early stages of ideation to the generation of a viable business plan. SEED Replicator targets entrepreneurs without a business idea as well as early-stage entrepreneurs who are trying to identify partnership opportunities and grow their impact. SEED Catalyser guides enterprises to refine their business models and optimize their impacts. SEED Accelerator develops the investment readiness and operational excellence of established eco-inclusive enterprises looking to scale up. Successful alumni can apply for a SEED Grant which pays for your immediate necessary activities, measures, or machinery required to establish the new enterprise. Brevard Zoo — Wildlife Emergency Fund
The Wildlife Emergency Fund (WEF) is a small grant program that provides emergency funding of up to US$2,500 to address severe and time-sensitive threats to wildlife. Research and awareness/outreach/education programs will not be considered for WEF. Support is intended for short-term emergency action. Misereor — Grassroots Development
Misereor is the international development agency of the Catholic Church in Germany. Its mission is to fight hunger, disease, poverty, and other forms of human suffering in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Issues and themes include climate change and justice; food security and agriculture; access to land; energy for the poor; and extractive industries. Sahee Foundation — Development in Swaziland and Peru
The Sahee Foundation makes grants for agriculture, health, education, and the environment in Swaziland and Peru. Sahee selects its partners among regional organizations that are well integrated in these target countries, as well as among local groups in Swaziland and Peru that launch development projects. For first applicants, the project budget must not exceed CHF10 thousand. There is no calendar deadline for applications. Details
AJA Foundation — Water Grants
AJA Foundation supports projects that provide access to clean water. AJA Foundation has a particular commitment to providing renewable clean water in rural African villages. There is no geographical restriction on where projects might be located. Funding ranges from US$2500 to US$500 thousand. The Foundation accepts LOIs on a rolling basis. Details here
Rainforest Action Network — Climate Action Fund
The Climate Action Fund makes small grants to community groups that are active in preventing the extraction of fossil fuels, and in preventing or decommissioning large point sources of greenhouse gas emissions. Grants can be made in all regions, but the Fund’s geographic priority areas are South and North America. Grants generally do not exceed US$2,500. Applications can be submitted at any time.
