Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture — Travel Grants Program

SEARCA provides travel grants to qualified agriculture and agriculture-related professionals, social scientists, or graduate students in Southeast Asia. Applicants can request up to US$1,200 to participate and/or present papers at relevant local or international scientific conferences and fora. SEARCA will now be accepting applications for participation in scientific events held online in order to support continued scientific/intellectual discourse and information dissemination relevant to agriculture and rural development. Eligibility extends to nationals from Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste and Vietnam. SEARCA operates on a regular grant schedule with four application deadlines per year. Canada Fund for Local Initiatives — Community Projects in Kazakhstan

The Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) invites proposals that meet the needs of local communities in Kazakhstan. CFLI provides funding to projects that implement environment and climate action projects focusing on adaptation and mitigation, water management, and other thematic priorities. The average contribution is C$60 thousand per project. Eligibility extends to not-for-profit local, national or community-based organizations. The deadline for submission is 09 June 2023. Earth Journalism Network — Fellowships for Journalists

Earth Journalism Network (EJN) offers fellowships for journalists to cover the 7th Global Environmental Facility Assembly in Vancouver (Canada). The fellowship will strengthen journalists’ capacity to cover real-time changes to global environmental and climate financing instruments and their implications. EJN will cover economy-class airfare, accommodation, meals, travel insurance, and transportation costs to participate in the fellowship. Japan Water Fund — Kyoto World Water Grand Prize 2024

The Japan Water Fund and the World Water Council announce the call for application for the Kyoto World Water Grand Prize 2022. The winner of the prize will receive ¥2 million (approximately US$18 thousand). Eligibility to compete for the prize extends to non-profit organizations with an established record of striving to solve critical water issues at the grass-roots level in developing countries. Inter-American Development Bank — Climate Change and its Nexus with Gender and Diversity

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) seeks research proposals that contribute to measuring and evaluating solutions for addressing climate change and promoting an inclusive transition to a greener economy. The initiative seeks to advance knowledge development regarding the existing inequalities between men and women, as well as inequalities faced by Indigenous Peoples, people of African descent, people with disabilities, and LGBTQ+ people. The fourth edition of this call focuses on the topic of climate change and its nexus with gender and diversity. Funding may range from US$20 thousand to US$100 thousand. World Food Forum — Startup Innovation Awards

The World Food Forum Startup Innovation Awards is a global startup competition to support and showcase innovators and entrepreneurs who harness technology to drive the sustainable transformation of agrifood systems in support of ending global hunger. The World Food Forum seeks applications for the 2023 Extreme Tech Challenge. The competition is open to companies whose work impacts an element of agrifood systems: production, aggregation, processing, distribution, consumption and disposal of food products. The Awards provide finalists and award winners the potential for global visibility, the ability to raise capital. The closing date for applications is 15 June 2023. People and Conservation Learning Group — Small Grants for Great Ape Conservation

The People and Conservation Learning Group (PCLG) supports collaboration and learning between conservation, development and rights focused organizations in three great ape range states. Applicants will be able to apply for grants up to US$7,500 to support people and great ape conservation in three great ape range states: Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. FONTAGRO — Innovations in Bioeconomy

FONTAGRO announces a contest of successful cases of innovations in Bioeconomy to identify successful experiences and lessons learned that contribute to a better understanding of the transformation of agri-food systems in Latin America and the Caribbean. Producer associations and other private sector organizations, including non-profit organizations are eligible to apply.
