UN Women Training Centre — Free Online Courses

UN Women offers free online courses across many subject areas through the global online platform for training for gender equality. Courses include the ‘2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and Gender Equality’ which is directed to government representatives and public servants, officials from the UN System, international organizations, academics, and the general public. Courses are self-paced and online, therefore, can be accessed anytime using a computer. Find the course overview

Institute of International Education — Scholar Rescue Fund

The IIE Scholar Rescue Fund (IIE-SRF) provides fellowships for professors, researchers, and public intellectuals who face threats to their lives and careers in their home countries. Fellows will receive temporary academic positions at institutions of higher learning anywhere in the world where they can continue their work in safety. Professors, senior researchers, and public intellectuals from any country, academic field, or discipline may qualify. Applications from women and members of ethnic, racial, cultural, or religious minority groups, or those otherwise underrepresented in their fields, are especially encouraged. Applications are accepted at any time throughout the year and will be reviewed on a quarterly basis. Find details about the application process

European Geosciences Union — Science Journalism Fellowship

The European Geosciences Union (EGU) accepts applications for the Science Journalism Fellowship competition. The fellowships enable journalists to report, in any European language, on ongoing research in the Earth, planetary or space sciences. Successful applicants receive up to €5000 to cover expenses related to their projects. The deadline for applications is 17 June 2025. Science Journalism Fellowship

Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie — Prize for Young Researchers

The Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) recognizes work in Science & Technology and Human & Social Sciences, with a focus on diversity within the Francophone academic community, especially in developing countries. The prize offers grants of €5,000 to support the future research endeavors of the winners. Eligible candidates must be 40 years old or younger, hold a doctorate, and demonstrate significant and innovative research. Interested applicants must submit their nomination by 27 June 2025. Global Good Fund — Fellowship Program 2026

The Global Good Fund Fellowship is a 12-month leadership development program for young social entrepreneurs who remain in their workplaces. Each fellow is offered mentoring; resources for leadership assessment; a peer network; and financial support. Past fellows represent enterprises for agriculture; environment; solar energy; and other green development. The program is open to applications worldwide. Candidates should be under age 40. Green Institute — Fellows Program

The Green Institute offers the Green Fellows program for students passionate about sustainability, food security, climate action, and environmental law. The program consists of a series of four virtual conferences. Participants receive a certificate of participation and stand a chance to win $1000. Participants must be between 18 and 35 years old. Leakey Foundation — Research on Primates

The Leakey Foundation funds research related to human origins. This includes research on primate biology, ecology, and behavior. The majority of research grants awarded to doctoral students range from US$3 thousand to US$20 thousand. Larger projects by senior scientists and post-doctoral students may be funded up to US$30 thousand. There are no citizenship restrictions. The next application deadline is 15 July 2025. Canon — Social and Environmental Community Support

Canon supports schools, non-profit, and community groups who are addressing both social and environmental issues in their community and inspiring change for future generations throughout Oceania. The Canon Oceania Grants Program supports individuals and organizations. Each Grant recipient will receive AU$5,000 worth of cash and Canon products, ranging from cameras and printers to projectors and other accessories. Nominations are accepted until 27 July 2025. International Tropical Timber Organization — Freezailah Fellowships 2025

The International Tropical Timber Organization (ITTO) makes grants through the Freezailah Fellowship Fund in support of capacity building. The grant can be used for training opportunities, demonstration tours, participation in conferences and workshops, preparation of technical papers, and post-graduate degrees. Grants up to US$10 thousand are in support of sustainable tropical forest management. Applicants are young and mid-career professionals in ITTO’s member countries; most grants are to individuals in developing countries. The next application deadline is 28 July 2025. Fingertips Company Limited — Climate Art Competition

The “Art on Climate” Competition invites talented illustrators and video creators to create artworks centred on the theme of climate change. Artists should illustrate innovative ideas and practical solutions to address this global challenge, inspiring the public to take proactive steps in their daily lives to combat climate change. Any person aged 18 or above from any location is eligible to participate. The champion of the competition will receive a prize of €2,000. The submission deadline is 31 July 2025.
