European Union — Central European Initiative, Call for Proposals 2019
The CEI makes grants to support its action plan. Cooperation projects are mainly for seminars, workshops, training courses, and other kinds of meetings. Priority themes include climate, environment, sustainable energy, and others. Projects can be submitted by all public and private bodies in CEI’s member states, as well as by international and regional organizations. Preference is for proposals submitted from CEI’s non-EU member states (Albania, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia, and Ukraine). Grants are up to €15 thousand. Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs — Danida Market Development Partnerships 2019
Danida Market Development Partnerships promote the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. Focusing on SDG 8, the main objective is to promote sustainable local economic growth and employment in developing countries in agriculture, energy, and other sectors. Applications are invited from consortia that include a business partner and an administrative partner, and possibly including additional partners from civil society, government, universities, etc. The program is available in Denmark’s priority countries for development assistance, and in selected other countries below the World Bank limit of lower-middle income countries that have a Danish representation. DMDP has a budget of DKK 100 million in 2019 for 10-12 partnerships. Danida’s support to the partnership project may cover up to 75% of total project costs. The European Commission aims to strengthen the capacity of civil society organisations in Macedonia. The objective of this call is to empower civil society to actively take part in decision making. One of the priority sectors unter this call is Environment & Climate Change (air pollution, solid waste management, energy efficiency & renewable resources, etc.). Energy Assistance is an employees’ association of electricity utilities in Europe that offers technical assistance to communities in the developing world needing electricity. Examples are electricity projects for water supply, village lighting, agriculture, schools and hospitals, and related local needs. The Association posts an application form. IC-IMPACTS — Smart Cities
IC-IMPACTS and the Department of Science & Technology (DST) of the Government of India invite proposals for the Cyber-Physical Systems to Support Green Buildings in Smart Cities. Projects under this call should aim at developing sensors, cyber-physical interfaces and solutions for energy reduction, net zero energy, carbon neutrality, reduced water usage, water harvesting, and on-site treatment, as well as to instigate other benefits for smarter and more sustainable buildings. Climate Chance — Climate Chance Summit Africa 2019
Climate Chance opens the call for proposals for the Climate Chance Summit Africa 2019. The call is open to local authorities, businesses, NGOs, trade unions, scientists, representatives from agricultural, youth, women and indigenous organisations, educators and citizens. Initiatives corresponding to many themes will be considered: Access to climate finance in Africa; Developing African cities in a sustainable way; Agriculture, food and reforestation in Africa; Renewable energy and energy efficiency in Africa; Adaptation and Water in Africa; Education and Training on Climate Change in Africa; and others. The Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) is a program of the U.S. government to support bright young leaders in the ASEAN countries. The YSEALI Academic Fellowship offer support to participate in a five-week institute on the campus of a U.S. university or college in one of the following topics: civil engagement; environmental issues; or social entrepreneurship and economic development. The fellowships include leadership development, an educational study tour, local community service activities, and opportunities to engage with peers in the USA.
