Deloitte offers One Young World Scholarships which will enable 5 outstanding young leaders to attend the One Young World Summit in Montreal, Canada (September 2024). The scholarship is intended for young leaders focused on reducing the causes and effects of climate change in their communities, countries, or world at large. Scholars will receive access to the One Young World Summit 2024, hotel accommodation, the cost of travel to and from Montreal, and catering. Leakey Foundation — Field School Scholarship
The Joan Cogswell Donner Field School Scholarship provides up to US$2 thousand towards field school tuition for students to support training in fieldwork related to human origins research. Applications for this scholarship have to be submitted by the field school director, not the scholarship recipient. Recipients must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in a country where there are limited resources for academic development. The scholarship is awarded year-round. Wild Animal Initiative — Challenge Grants
Wild Animal Initiative provides grants for research projects that help us understand and improve the lives of wild animals. Challenge grants researchers exploring critical research questions that will unlock new avenues of wild animal welfare research and are not prioritized by other funders. Grant size varies from US$30 thousand to US$200 thousand. Challenge grants program is open to experienced researchers, but can include financial support for students or other early-career collaborators. American Society of Mammalogists — Research in Latin America
The American Society of Mammalogists (ASM) offers the Latin American Student Field Research award for field projects by Latin American graduate students. Each of five grant recipients receives US$1,500. The ASM also offers the Oliver P. Pearson Award to young professional mammalogists of any nationality who hold academic or curatorial positions in Latin America. Aspire Institute — Leaders Program for First-generation University Students
The Aspire Leaders Program provides academic and professional development resources to students who are from backgrounds of social and financial adversity. All applicants must be between the ages of 18-26, come from a low-income background and be the first-generation to attend university. Through the program, students will gain access to fully-funded HarvardX courses and participate in live seminars with Harvard University.
