Sustainable Ocean Alliance and Environmental Defense Fund — Climate-Resilient Fisheries Fellowship

Sustainable Ocean Alliance and Environmental Defense Fund offers a Fellowship to early-career entrepreneurs and organizations working on projects anywhere in the world that benefit fisheries and promote community resilience to climate change. Fellows receive grant funding and special access to mentorship and online courses to develop new leadership and technical skills. Climate Tracker — Climate Justice Fellowship

The Caribbean Climate Justice Journalism Fellowship accepts applications. The fellowship offers young Caribbean journalists the opportunity to hone their skills, tell important stories, and make a real impact in their communities. Fellows will receive expert training and mentorship from experienced journalists and climate experts, and a monthly stipend during the six months of the fellowship. Schneider Electric seeks applications for the Go Green global student competition in the Middle East & Africa. Students are invited to submit solutions to real-life case challenges within energy management or ideas for sustainable energy access. Top teams will be invited to attend the Virtual Global Finals to pitch their ideas. In addition, one all-female team from the semi-finals will win the Women in Business Award. YALI Regional Leadership Center — West Africa Emerging Leaders Program

The YALI West Africa Emerging Leaders Program provides business and entrepreneurship training to young West African leaders from Ghana, Nigeria, Togo, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Gambia and Burkina Faso. The program will teach young leaders (between 18 to 35 years) about modern leadership through coursework (in-person or online), a mentorship program, internship or community service, and report writing. OPEC Fund for International Development — Young Professional Development Program

The Young Professional Development Program (YPDP) is a two-year program designed to prepare young professionals from OPEC Fund member countries for a career in global development. The themes include poverty reduction, energy and sustainable development, environment, and other related science and technology fields. YPDP offers training, coaching and mentoring, the opportunity to experience different departments and access to professional networks. United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization — Silk Roads Youth Research Grant

UNESCO launches the ‘Silk Roads Youth Research Grant’. The program aims to mobilize young researchers for further study of the Silk Roads shared heritage, and will award 12 research grants to young researchers under 35 years of age. Grant applicants are invited to address areas of academic study which relate to the shared heritage and plural identities of the Silk Roads, including, but not limited to Science and Technology (however, proposed projects must focus on the results of cultural interactions and exchanges). The proposed research may be carried out by an individual researcher or may be part of a group or collaborative project. UNESCO will award 12 grants of US$10 thousand. African Water Association — Scholarships for Water and Sanitation Professionals

The African Water Association awards research scholarships to young African Water and Sanitation Professionals. Each scholarship has a maximum value of US$1,000 and must be used to carry out research work sanctioned by a scientific report on a theme related to the WASH sector. Target beneficiaries are master students and engineers in the final year of their training. Applicants must submit their application and research proposal by 15 April 2023. More information

Oak Spring Garden Foundation — Plant Science Research Fellowship

The Oak Spring Garden Foundation awards Fellowships in Spring Fellowship in Plant Science Research to one early-career plant scientist, with preference given to scientists working in organismal plant biology. The award includes a US$10 thousand individual grant and requires a 2 to 8 week stay at Oak Spring (USA).
