The Ramsar Regional Center – East Asia (RRC-EA) accepts project proposals for funding support under the RRC-EA Wetland Fund 2024. Wetland advocates from the region are invited to apply for small grants in line with the following thematic areas: (1) Wetland Conservation; and (2) Celebration of World Wetlands Day. RRC-EA will support up to 4 projects under Thematic Area 1 with a budget of US$10 thousand each, and up to 3 projects under Thematic Area 2 with a budget of US$5 thousand each. U.S. African Development Foundation — Innovative Solutions to Increase Food Security Namibia
The U.S. African Development Foundation (USADF) invites proposals for grant financing and local support for innovative solutions that extend producers capabilities to increase food security in Namibia. Eligibility extends to Namibian cooperatives, producer groups, and micro, small and medium sized enterprises. Registered cooperatives and producer groups may apply for awards up to US$250 thousand. BRILHO — Energy Africa Mozambique Program
BRILHO aims to improve access to energy for the people of Mozambique through investment in off-grid clean energy. BRILHO offers companies a mix of structured non-reimbursable funding and technical assistance. Businesses can apply for financial support ranging from £50 thousand up to £1.5 million. The program accepts project proposals for improved cooking solutions, solar home systems, and green mini-grids. International Fund for Agricultural Development — Grants to Improve Resilience and Food Security
The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) will finance the implementation of a project on “Innovative regenerative agriculture approaches to improve resilience and food security”. The goal is to contribute to more productive and nutritious climate resilient and sustainable agricultural production through the application of regenerative agriculture techniques. EIT Climate-KIC — Sustainable Cities Mobility Challenge
EIT Climate-KIC seeks to decarbonise transport, improve local air quality and accelerate electric mobility in European cities. The call aims to support the transition to cleaner, greener, and more people-centered transport, in line with the objectives of the European Green Deal. Cities and towns (with a population of at least 25,000) in the EU Member States, Horizon Europe Associated Countries (including the United Kingdom) and Switzerland are eligible to apply. U.S Agency for International Development — Locally Led Development Initiative LAC
The Locally Led Development Initiative seeks to increase sustainability and impact in the areas of regional environmental and sustainable growth; women’s empowerment, and climate change. Concept notes should propose programs implemented in two or more of the following Amazon Basin countries: Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Peru, and Suriname. Funding ranges from US$250 thousand to US$2.5 million. USAID welcomes concepts from local and regional entities who have a solid understanding of the development challenges facing their communities. Brevard Zoo — Grants for Wildlife Conservation
The Brevard Zoo Conservation Fund supports projects that incorporate the community, education and wildlife conservation. The Fund is sustained through the Quarters for Conservation program which is a small surcharge from each general admission to the zoo. Each year, four wildlife conservation organizations are highlighted for an entire year at the Quarters for Conservation voting station. The four organizations selected will receive US$25 thousand, plus bonus donations based on guest voting. Applicants must be a non-profit wildlife conservation organization. The Caribbean Disaster Management Agency provides Country Directed Funds seeks to build the resilience of Caribbean states to disaster risks and climate change impacts. The Country Directed Fund consists of grants of up to a maximum of €60 thousand. National Disaster Management Offices and relevant national agencies responsible for CDM implementation from the following states may apply: Antigua and Barbuda, The Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, St. Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago. Azimuth World Foundation — Funding for Indigenous Peoples Grassroots Projects
The Azimuth World Foundation funds projects by grassroots Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities-led organizations aiming to improve access to health and to save water. The maximum grant amount is US$25 thousand. To be eligible for funding, organizations must have a USA tax-exempt status (501 (c)(3)) or a Fiscal Sponsor. One Day’s Wages — Matching Grants
One Day’s Wages is a grassroots movement to alleviate extreme global poverty. Matching grants require partners to raise a portion of the grant funds, which are then matched by One Day’s Wages dollar for dollar. Matching grant requests from first-time partners is US$5,000 – US$30 thousand. Projects must fit within one or more of ODW’s focus areas, which include Climate Impact, and Water & Sanitation, among others. Applicants must be a registered non-governmental nonprofit organization.
