AI for Good — Environmental Footprint Measurement

AI for Good identifies innovative AI applications, building skills and standards, and advancing partnerships to solve global challenges. The AI Environmental Footprint Measurement Hackathon invites innovators worldwide to develop proof-of-concept tools that accurately measure and monitor AI’s carbon and water footprints, addressing high-impact areas like emissions, water usage in data centers, and life-cycle assessments. The winning team will earn the opportunity to present their solution at COP30 in Brazil. Participants—whether individuals or teams—must register by 27 August 2025. UN Women — Climate Entrepreneurship

The UN Women Care & Climate Entrepreneurship Accelerator is a 12-month program tailored for early- and growth-stage women-led or gender-diverse, for-profit enterprises in South and Southeast Asia focusing on solutions in the care economy, the green economy, or both. Selected participants receive grants ranging from US$5,000 to US$100 thousand, along with customized support. Eligible applicants must be legally registered, operational for at least two years. Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation — Youth Actions Challenge

The 1 Million Youth Actions Challenge supports youth-led initiatives related to clean water and sanitation, responsible consumption and production, climate action & biodiversity. Youth between 15 and 24 years from all around the world are invited to submit their solutions and projects. Earth Journalism Network — Seed Grants for Media Outlets in Nepal

The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) offers grants of €4,500 to media outlets in Nepal to support new media programming on natural resource management and green growth. The grants are intended to seed new programs, columns, or sections that focus on providing innovative and solutions-oriented information on green growth and natural resource management to the public and policymakers. Eligibility extends to media outlets in Nepal – including newspapers, online media, radio, television, multimedia platforms, and social media channels. The application deadline is 21 August  2025. Aspire Coronation Trust Foundation — Changemakers Innovation Challenge

The Aspire Coronation Trust (ACT) Foundation seeks applications for the Changemakers Innovation Challenge. The challenge is open to non-profits and social enterprises across Africa who are using technological/digital tools to create innovative social solutions. Focus areas include health, environment, leadership, and entrepreneurship. Proposed projects must have a maximum life cycle of 12 months and benefit African communities. Africa Earth Observation Challenge — Addressing Development Challenges

The Africa Earth Observation Challenge (AEO Challenge) is an open innovation competition aimed at fostering African early‑stage businesses across all sectors that leverage Earth Observation data to tackle pressing development challenges—such as climate change, agriculture, disaster risk reduction, natural resource monitoring, sustainable development, and healthcare. Eligible applicants must be based anywhere in Africa. Finalists and winners receive a comprehensive support package including cash prizes totaling up to US$10 thousand distributed among the top three teams. The application deadline is 29 August 2025. Global Resilience Partnership — TECH4Resilience Challenge

The Global Resilience Partnership launches the TECH4Resilience Challenge to accelerate seed‑level AI innovations that bolster climate-related emergency preparedness—focusing on solutions for low- and middle-income countries. Both not-for-profit and for-profit innovators are eligible, and selected projects will receive tailored leadership mentoring, communications support, investor pitch preparation, and funding of up to US$50 thousand to further develop and scale their solutions. International Finance Forum — Global Green Finance Award

The IFF Global Green Finance Award seeks innovative green finance solutions worldwide. The award targets applicants who offer green financial solutions that promote the transformation of economic growth modes, contribute to pollution prevention, and control and address climate change, as well as improve energy efficiency, energy conservation, and emission reductions. Any institution that carries out activities that foster green finance development and produce real benefits is eligible to apply. The application deadline is 05 August 2025. Eugenio Garza Lagüera Entrepreneurship Institute — Climate Acceleration Program

The Eugenio Garza Lagüera Entrepreneurship Institute invites applications for an acceleration program to develop capabilities and provide resources to startups with high business potential and climate impact. Entrepreneurs must have a product or service that aligns with at least one of the following impact areas: Energy access and generation; Low emission transport; Buildings, cities, industries, and appliances; Forestry and land use resources. The program includes a grant without dilution from equity to €100 thousand and mentorship from experts. Businesses located in Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Mexico, Peru, or the Dominican Republic are eligible to apply. The application deadline is 08 August 2025. Details
