Climate Tracker — Media Research on Coverage of Plastics in Southeast Asia
Climate Tracker seeks emerging journalists and researchers from across Southeast Asia for an online research training fellowship. Research will focus on developing a clearer regional media coverage map and creating brand awareness for the Break Free from Plastic campaign. Fellows will build their relationship with the media in the region, participate in 4 weeks of online training and analyze the coverage of up to 5 publications in their respective country. Global Biodiversity Information Facility — Biodiversity Information for Development: Asia
The Biodiversity Information for Development program aims to enhance capacity for effective mobilization and use of biodiversity data in support of decision- and policymaking for sustainable development in Asia. The program supports projects that strengthen the capacity of institutions to manage and mobilize biodiversity data, mobilize primary data on Asian biodiversity, and increase open data on Asian biodiversity to fill taxonomic and geographic gaps. Applicants may request a maximum of €20 thousand for projects implemented over a maximum period of 18 months. SEED — Low Carbon Award 2021
SEED supports small-scale eco-enterprises in the developing world which integrate social and environmental benefits into their business models. Applicants should be able to explain how the enterprise will be financially viable in the long term and be in the set-up phase and in the early stages of implementation. The Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) invites proposals that meet the needs of local communities in Fiji, Kiribati, Samoa, Tonga, and Tuvalu. CFLI provides funding to projects that implement environment and climate action projects focusing on adaptation and mitigation, water management, and other thematic priorities. The ASEAN Women Impact Social Entrepreneurship (WISE) Fellowship supports changemakers and social enterprises with focus on women and indigenous communities. Angels of Impact seeks medium-sized, women or indigenous-led, community-based social enterprises that work to end poverty via the creative economy sector. Selected fellows have access to capacity-building workshops, market access and funding opportunities. The Small Charities Challenge Fund (SCCF) supports UK-based grassroots organizations to help priority countries to enhance their capacity and efforts to help the poor, vulnerable and most marginalized. UK Aid Direct operates in the lowest 50 countries in the Human Development Index and in countries considered to be of high or moderate fragility. Thematic areas include agriculture, climate change, environment, water resources and others. Grants of up to £50 thousand will be available for projects of up to 2 years.
