African Women in Agricultural Research and Development — Climate Action Fellowship

The AWARD Climate Action Fellowship aims to develop the leadership and technical capacities of African women in climate change adaptation. The one-year program offers leadership development, gender integration training, mentorship, and the opportunity to implement Climate Research and Innovation Projects. Eligible applicants are women from Benin, Cameroon, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, or Senegal, holding at least a master’s degree in relevant fields, with a minimum of two years’ experience in climate-related work, and residing in Africa throughout the fellowship period. Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund — Implementation Team for the Guinean Forests of West Africa

The Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) invites expressions of interest from organizations interested in serving as the regional implementation team for the Guinean Forests Biodiversity Hotspot (Benin, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea, Ghana, Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria, São Tomé and Príncipe, Sierra Leone and Togo). The maximum funding available for the RIT grant is USD 1,5 million. Organizations that submit an expression of interest will be invited to submit full proposals. International Organization for Migration — Climate Mobility in Africa

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) launches a call for applications for the initiative “Accelerating Youth-Led Action in Addressing Climate Mobility in Africa.” The program aims to strengthen the capacities of youth and youth-led civil society organizations across Africa by providing technical expertise, resources, and platforms to lead climate mobility solutions. Canada Fund for Local Initiatives — Community Projects in Liberia

The Canada Fund for Local Initiatives invites proposals that meet the needs of local communities in Liberia. The priorities under this call include women’s economic rights, decent jobs and entrepreneurship, and investing in the poorest and most vulnerable (which may include agriculture or aquaculture projects). The Swiss Re Foundation invites applications for the 2025 Changemakers Africa Incubation Program. This online program is designed to support early-stage entrepreneurs across Africa who are developing innovative solutions in healthcare or climate resilience. Eligible applicants must be based in Africa and commit to 6–8 hours of weekly participation. Earth Journalism Network — Story Grants to Report on Great Apes and One Health in Africa

The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) offers reporting grants to journalists in Africa to support the production of in-depth stories on threats faced by great apes, particularly the impact of disease and other health considerations, as well as conservation strategies to protect these species and their habitats. Applications are open to journalists working in any medium (online, print, television, radio) and other media practitioners with experience covering conservation and/or One Health issues in range countries. African Plant Nutrition Institute — Phosphorus Fellowship

The African Plant Nutrition Institute (APNI) accepts applications for the Young African Phosphorus Fellowship. This program aims to support early-career scientists working in African National Agricultural Research and Extension Systems institutions or universities who are conducting innovative research on phosphorus management in African agro-ecosystems. APNI will award up to five fellowships of US$5,000 each. Applicants must be full-time scientists at an African NARES institution or university. The application deadline is 30 June 2025.
