The COAL Prize 2025 invites artists to submit projects dedicated to fresh water. The Prize is open to artists from all over the world. The winner receives €12 thousand to support artwork in progress and benefits from an (optional) residence run by the Museum of Hunting and Nature at the Belval Domaine. The Mediterranean Youth Water Hackathon invites young innovators aged 18 to 35 to collaborate and create game-changing solutions addressing the challenges and opportunities within the Water, Energy, Food, and Ecosystems (WEFE) Nexus. The National Geographic Society invites proposals from storytellers to create and disseminate content that raises public awareness about sustainable freshwater use. The initiative seeks to illuminate global freshwater challenges, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa, North Africa, Western Asia, and the Middle East. The ProBleu funding initiative supports primary and secondary schools as essential champions in educating children and youth about blue sustainability and the safeguarding of marine and freshwater ecosystems. The call is open to primary and secondary-level schools in the EU Member States and associated countries. The Leadership Program for Young Water Professionals mobilizes high-potential young water professionals and aims to provide a strong foundation for building professional networks within the global water community. The International Water Association will cover travel expenses for the selected candidates to participate in an immersive retreat and to attend the 2026 IWA World Water Congress & Exhibition, in Glasgow, Scotland.
