Friedrich Ebert Foundation — Scholarships for International PhD Students

The Friedrich Ebert Foundation supports international students from Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Eastern Europe who study at universities in Germany. (Note: The FES only awards scholarships to applicants from abroad who have already enrolled in a German university or have a supervisor for their doctoral studies.) International students from all subjects (except the medical disciplines) are eligible to apply for this scholarship. Foreign scholarship holders receive up to €1 thousand per month over a period of two to three years, plus family allowance (if applicable). Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Pulitzer Center — Reporting Grants for Journalists

The Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting provides grants to individual journalists and news organizations to support in-depth, high-impact reporting on topics of global importance. Awards cover reporting costs. Most awards for international travel are between US$5 thousand and US$10 thousand. International Finance Forum — Global Green Finance Award

The IFF Global Green Finance Award seeks innovative green finance solutions worldwide. The award targets applicants who offer green financial solutions that promote the transformation of economic growth modes, contribute to pollution prevention, and control and address climate change, as well as improve energy efficiency, energy conservation, and emission reductions. Any institution that carries out activities that foster green finance development and produce real benefits is eligible to apply. The application deadline is 05 August 2025. Eugenio Garza Lagüera Entrepreneurship Institute — Climate Acceleration Program

The Eugenio Garza Lagüera Entrepreneurship Institute invites applications for an acceleration program to develop capabilities and provide resources to startups with high business potential and climate impact. Entrepreneurs must have a product or service that aligns with at least one of the following impact areas: Energy access and generation; Low emission transport; Buildings, cities, industries, and appliances; Forestry and land use resources. The program includes a grant without dilution from equity to €100 thousand and mentorship from experts. World Food Forum — Youth Representatives Program

The WFF Youth Representatives Program empowers young leaders aged 18–35 to contribute to global agrifood systems policy and advocacy through regional and thematic consultations and representation at the World Food Forum flagship event in October 2025. Eligible applicants include young farmers, Indigenous youth, youth organization members, students, and young professionals with experience in agrifood, environment, or development sectors. Youth Representatives engage virtually and in person, attend a minimum of two regional consultations, and contribute to global dialogues throughout their tenure. Reckitt — Catalyst Social Impact Program

The Catalyst Social Impact Program supports social enterprises focused on health, hygiene, water, sanitation, and climate resilience. The program provides tailored business development, mentorship, and funding to scale purpose-driven ventures that address systemic inequalities and deliver community-level impact. Commonwealth Scholarship Commission — Professional Fellowships 2025/26

Commonwealth Professional Fellowships support mid-career professionals from developing Commonwealth countries to make professional visits (typically of three months) with UK host organizations. Applications are invited in the thematic area of clean energy, air, and oceans. Fellows must be Commonwealth citizens, refugees, or British-protected persons — and they must be permanent residents in a developing Commonwealth country. Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund — Biodiversity Conservation in Madagascar and the Indian Ocean Islands

The Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) seeks to empower communities and civil society in Madagascar and the Indian Ocean Islands to implement actions to improve the resilience of species, ecosystems, and human populations to climate change. CEPF intends to make small grants of up to US$50 thousand in support of strengthening the capacity of local communities and civil society at regional and local levels to enhance adaptive capacity and reduce exposure to climate change risks, and supporting research and ensure the dissemination of results for the promotion and improvement of knowledge on ecosystem-based adaptation actions. FONTAGRO — Agrobioentrepreneurship

FONTAGRO invites submissions to the LATAM 2025 Agrobioentrepreneurship with Impact competition, aimed at identifying, incubating, and accelerating the top 100 agrobioentrepreneur ventures across Latin America and Spain that demonstrate high socioeconomic and environmental impact. Eligible applicants include agriproducers, producer organizations, private companies, and public or private R&D institutions (e.g. universities, NGOs). Stiftung Artenschutz — Amphibian Conservation Fund

The Amphibian Conservation Fund supports conservation actions for threatened amphibian species worldwide. Projects must focus on species listed as Critically Endangered, Endangered, or Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List. Initiatives targeting Data Deficient or Not Evaluated species may also qualify if a clear conservation concern is demonstrated. Eligible activities include habitat protection, urgent field research, conservation breeding, reintroductions, training, education, and community engagement. Funding is available for projects up to €5,000 with a duration of up to 12 months. Proposals are accepted in English or German, and the program is open to applicants from any country. The application deadline is 31 August 2025. Amphibian Conservation Fund
