The Nordic Africa Institute (NAI) provides funding to social science researchers from Sub-Saharan Africa for short-term collaborative assignments at the NAI in Uppsala, Sweden. Female researchers are especially encouraged to apply. The scholarship includes travel (economy class), accommodation, a subsistence allowance of SEK400 per day plus an installation grant of SEK2,500. The thematic research programs include the topics of economic growth, poverty alleviation, sustainable livelihoods, climate change, and sustainable development, among others. Swedish International Development Agency — Training Workshop: Applied Land Governance (Africa)
Sida funds short-term training in selected development topics for participants from developing countries. Sida invites professionals from Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia to apply for the advanced training program “Applied Land Governance, Land Valuation.” The overall objective of this program is to strengthening the ability of all course participants to design and lead internal change processes within their organization that enable sustainable organizational change toward gender equality. The Heineken Africa Foundation funds projects to improve mother/child care, and projects for water, sanitation, and health (WASH). The support extends to projects in Sub-Saharan African countries where Heineken has a local operating presence. For each project a partnership is created between the Foundation, the local Heineken brewery and a local or international NGO. The Foundation provides funding and administrative assistance. Annie’s Homegrown — Scholarships for Sustainable Agriculture
Annie’s Homegrown Sustainable Agriculture Scholarship Program is open to full-time undergraduate and graduate students studying at an accredited college or graduate school in the US. Women Environmental Programme calls for applications from interested civil society and community-based organizations for the Women2030 seed-grants in Ghana.
