The AfOx Catalyst Grants provide seed funding to support the development of collaborative research between researchers based in African research institutions and at the University of Oxford. Travel grants enable researchers to meet in either an African institution or Oxford. Starter Grants fund activities which aim to develop sustainable partnerships and strengthening applications for longer-term fellowships and funding. The maximum grant amount is £5000. The Green Web Foundation — Green Web Fellowship
The Green Web Foundation seeks practitioners for a paid part-time fellowship of 10 months. Successful fellows will deliver a project that contributes to the digital rights and climate justice movements. Fellows participate in workshops on effective climate communication, digital sustainability and more. The Ramsar Regional Center – East Asia (RRC-EA) accepts project proposals for funding support under the RRC-EA Wetland Fund 2024. Wetland advocates from the region are invited to apply for small grants in line with the following thematic areas: (1) Wetland Conservation; and (2) Celebration of World Wetlands Day. RRC-EA will support up to 4 projects under Thematic Area 1 with a budget of US$10 thousand each, and up to 3 projects under Thematic Area 2 with a budget of US$5 thousand each. The U.S. African Development Foundation (USADF) invites proposals for grant financing and local support for innovative solutions that extend producers capabilities to increase food security in Namibia. Eligibility extends to Namibian cooperatives, producer groups, and micro, small and medium sized enterprises. Registered cooperatives and producer groups may apply for awards up to US$250 thousand. BRILHO — Energy Africa Mozambique Program
BRILHO aims to improve access to energy for the people of Mozambique through investment in off-grid clean energy. BRILHO offers companies a mix of structured non-reimbursable funding and technical assistance. Businesses can apply for financial support ranging from £50 thousand up to £1.5 million. The program accepts project proposals for improved cooking solutions, solar home systems, and green mini-grids. Land Accelerator — Restoration of Degraded Forests and Farmland
The Land Accelerator is a four-month program for entrepreneurs who wish to learn how to restore degraded forests and farmland. The program offers courses in South Asia and Latin America. The accelerator is designed for companies that are in the testing phase of taking their product to market. Any business model that is recognized as restoring land is eligible, including, but not limited to smart agriculture, water conservation, agroforestry, tree planting, and beekeeping, forest conservation. International Fund for Agricultural Development — Grants to Improve Resilience and Food Security
The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) will finance the implementation of a project on “Innovative regenerative agriculture approaches to improve resilience and food security”. The goal is to contribute to more productive and nutritious climate resilient and sustainable agricultural production through the application of regenerative agriculture techniques.
