The Bezos Earth Fund seeks new ideas for multiplying the impact of climate and nature efforts using modern AI. The first round of awards will focus on sustainable proteins, power grid optimization, biodiversity conservation, and embracing visionary wildcard solutions for climate and nature. The Grand Challenge will offer up to US$100 million in total funding over three rounds. Up to 30 seed grantees will receive US$50 thousand each. At the end of the challenge, up to 15 implementation grantees will receive up to $2 million each. Canadian International Development Research Center — IDRC Research Awards 2025
The International Development Research Center (IDRC) makes research awards to citizens and permanent residents of Canada and to citizens of developing countries (India and Kenya). The award provides for a one-year paid program of research in addition to hands-on experience in research management, grant administration, and the use of knowledge from an international perspective. Six positions are available at IDRC’s head office in Ottawa (Canada). Program areas include climate resilience and sustainable food systems; and several others. Applicants should be enrolled, or have previously completed, their masters or doctoral degrees at recognized universities. The Trust for Mutual Understanding (TMU) makes grants to nonprofit organizations in the USA for environmental projects in collaboration with partners in the following countries: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan. The Belmont Forum aims to coordinate actions and projects with a transdisciplinary approach to develop innovative solutions to the challenges faced in tropical forest regions. The Belmont Forum will fund three-year projects. This call for proposals recognizes the growing threats to those ecosystems and their inhabitants, such as climate change, deforestation, unregulated agroindustry and land conversion, illegal activities, pollution, and environmental/climate injustices. The Awa Prize highlights women entrepreneurs from Belgian development cooperation countries and their projects. The prize aims to promote women entrepreneurs in their local community and strengthen them in their entrepreneurial success. The winner receives €50 thousand in support of their enterprise and one week in Belgium. Participating countries for the 2024 edition: Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, DRC, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Jordan, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Mozambique, Niger, Palestine, Rwanda, Senegal, Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda.
