Insect Welfare Research Society — Teaching Innovation Award

The Insect Welfare Research Society (IWRS) offers Teaching Innovation Awards supporting instructors who develop new approaches to teaching insect or invertebrate biology. Two awards of US$2,000 each are available annually, funding the creation and implementation of instructional materials and pedagogical approaches. Delft University of Technology — Excellence Scholarships

TU Delft offers the Justus & Louise Van Effen Excellence Scholarships to study at the Delft University of Technology. The scholarship offers €30 thousand per year to international applicants admitted to one of the 2-year regular MSc programs. Harvard University — Environmental Fellowships 2027

Harvard University’s Center for the Environment awards environmental fellowships. The fellowships enable recent doctorate recipients to use Harvard’s resources to tackle complex environmental problems. Eligibility for funding extends to candidates with a doctorate or equivalent in any subject area from any university in the world. Candidates may propose research projects in any discipline. The fellowship includes a salary of US$92 thousand per year, plus reimbursement for relocation expenses, annual allowance for travel and other professional expenses. Beit Trust — Postgraduate Scholarships

The Beit Trust Scholarships offer postgraduate (Master’s) funding exclusively to nationals and permanent residents of Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Malawi. For 2026, it will award scholarships at UK and South African partner universities. Eligible candidates must not already be enrolled in a course, and preference is given to those with strong academic records, relevant professional experience, leadership potential, and alignment of study fields with developmental needs. World Bank — Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program

The JJ/WBGSP Scholarship Program provides scholarships to professionals from developing countries who are applying to a master’s degree program in a development-related topic. Applicants must first apply for admission to one or more of the Partner Master’s Degree Programs to be eligible for a scholarship. Scholarship recipients receive travel allowance; tuition for the graduate program; basic medical insurance; and a monthly subsistence allowance to cover all living expenses (accommodations, food, etc., including books). The Insect Welfare Research Society (IWRS) offers travel grants supporting students and early-career researchers presenting invertebrate welfare and sentience science at conferences and events in entomology, animal behavior, animal science, philosophy, and animal welfare. Grants provide up to US$1,000, covering conference registration, travel, accommodation, and other attendance-related costs. Priority goes to applicants presenting work that advances insect or invertebrate welfare research specifically, and to those who could not otherwise attend without financial support. Green Earth Action Foundation — Fully-Funded Community Climate Leadership Program

The Green Earth Action Foundation (GEAF) invites applications for its Ambassador Program 2027, a six-month, fully-funded climate leadership opportunity open to changemakers worldwide. Selected ambassadors design and lead a community-based environmental project, chosen from five thematic areas: forest and biodiversity protection, environmental education and community empowerment, waste reduction and pollution prevention, climate-smart agriculture, and marine and water protection. GEAF provides expert-led capacity building alongside one-to-one mentorship and guided project implementation support. Applicants must be at least 18, demonstrate experience in community outreach and local implementation, communicate fluently in French or English, and commit approximately five to ten hours per week for the full six months. Water Witness International — Fair Water Action Fund

The Fair Water Action Fund supports civil society organizations, journalists, and researchers in the Global South—especially in Africa—to promote water justice and hold governments and corporations accountable for water security. Grants range from £3,000 to £36,000 for projects up to 12 months that focus on advocacy, community monitoring, investigative reporting, and systemic change. Eligible applicants include grassroots networks, NGOs, academic centers, and independent media. Priority is given to countries facing water scarcity and governance challenges. Nagao Natural Environment Foundation — Nature Conservation Scholarships for Students from Asia

The NEF Scholarship Scheme financially supports university students from Southeast Asia who study nature conservation (e.g., biology, botany, forestry, etc) at selected universities and institutes in Indonesia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Lao PDR, Cambodia, and the Philippines. Furthermore, scholarship recipients can attend the NEF Student International Workshop. Participants attend lectures, present their own research, visit research facilities, and practice research skills in the field related to nature conservation. Eligibility requirements vary by country, therefore, interested applicants are required to contact the NEF local counterpart representative in their country for application guidelines.
