HCLTech — Climate Action Grant

HCLTech accepts applications for the Climate Action Grant which provides grants to non-governmental organizations combating climate change and restoring ecosystems and biodiversity across the Americas. HCLTech accepts proposals for climate action in focus areas such as wildlife and biodiversity conservation; land and ocean action; clean energy; climate advocacy; campaigns; and climate risk reduction. Enterprise Singapore — Sustainability Open Innovation Challenge

The Sustainability Open Innovation Challenge invites industry partners and creative innovators to co-develop sustainable solutions in key areas such as renewable energy, offshore wind, greener industries, sustainable agrifood and sustainable materials. Participants have the chance to collaborate with major partners and access funding to develop their solutions. Prizes include potential grant support (US$100 thousand from Hexagon Group), as well as funding and real-world testing facilitated by industry pioneers. Marc and Nora Van Montagu Fund — Fellowship Program for Women Researchers in Africa

The Open Doors Fellowship Program (ODFP) targets post-doctoral and mid-career women researchers conducting agricultural research in Africa. Fellows receive financial incentives to enhance their scientific visibility and a research stay in Belgium. Applicants’ research fields must be plant breeding, agrobiotechnology, molecular biology and genetics, microbiology, chemical ecology, plant & soil health, livestock or aquaculture. Science Park Graz — Startup Idea Competition 2026

The Science Park Graz invites young inventors to submit their business ideas to the Startup Idea Competition in one of six categories, including Energy & Environment. The winners in each category will be invited to the award ceremony in Graz, Austria and receive €2 thousand each. The deadline for idea submission is 31 January 2026. Neotropical Birding and Conservation — Conservation and Research in Latin America and the Caribbean

The Neotropical Birding and Conservation (formerly Neotropical Bird Club) offers small and medium-sized research grants for conservation work, or for research that may be of conservation benefit. Awards of US$1,500 and US$3,000 are for projects carried out by nationals and/or residents of countries in the Neotropics (i.e. the Caribbean, Central America, and South America). The Juan Mazar Barnett Award (up to US$5,000) is to encourage early-career neotropical bird conservationists and researchers. Application guidelines are available in English and Spanish. Wageningen University — Africa Scholarship Program

The Africa Scholarship Program (ASP) offers students from Africa the opportunity to pursue a Master’s degree at Wageningen University and to support capacity building in Africa. Students receive travel, living allowance, tuition fee coverage, visa costs, and costs for health insurance. Applicants have to be citizens of an African country and have applied for one of the master’s programs of Wageningen University & Research before the given deadline.  The application deadline is 01 February 2026. InteRussia — Energy Fellowships

InteRussia announces a Fellowship in the Energy Sector for specialists from Latin America and the Caribbean. The fellowship consists of lectures, seminars, and visits to government agencies, industrial enterprises and major energy infrastructure facilities. The fellowship covers travel costs, accommodation, a monthly stipend, visa support, and insurance, and includes an academic and cultural programme hosted by Russian partner institutions. AGRO-WELL — Smart Farming Solutions

The AGRO-WELL invites startups, SMEs, research institutes, NGOs, and commercial farms developing smart farming technologies using AI, robotics, augmented reality (AR), data tools or automation to submit proposals to demonstrate and validate their solutions on commercial farms. Selected projects receive up to €37,500 per project to carry out 12–18-month demonstrations starting in October 2026 across greenhouse, open-field or pig farming systems. The call is open to applicants and small consortia (up to 3 partners) based in EU Member States or Horizon Europe-associated countries. The deadline to apply is 04 February 2026. Link

Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations — Award for Innovation

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) recognizes individuals, institutions, or organizations that have developed innovative approaches, technologies, or practices with a clear and positive impact on food security, sustainable agrifood systems, natural resource management, or rural livelihoods. The award includes a cash prize of US$10 thousand and an official certificate of recognition. Eligible nominees may come from the public or private sector, civil society, academia, or international organizations, and nominations must be endorsed by an FAO Representative or FAO senior official. Stellenbosch Institute for Advanced Study — Fellowships for Early-Career African Researchers

The Stellenbosch Institute for Advanced Study (STIAS) offers the Iso Lomso Fellowships to early-career African researchers in any discipline. The program provides a three-year attachment to STIAS in addition to the possibility of a residency at a sister institute for advanced study in North America, Europe, or elsewhere. Other benefits include support for attending international conferences or workshops and support to the fellow’s home institution for lecturer replacement. The program is aimed at African scholars who have obtained a doctoral degree within the preceding eight years, and who hold an academic position at a university or research institution anywhere in Africa.
