Global LEAP Awards — Solar Generators

TheGlobal LEAP Awards Solar Generator Competition aims to identify and promote the highest-performing solar-powered generator kits for use in energy-constrained settings, with a total prize pool of US$100 thousand. African Union Development Agency — Land Accelerator Africa

The Land Accelerator Africa initiative invites land-restoration entrepreneurs and businesses operating in African countries to apply for a scalable accelerator program aimed at restoring degraded landscapes. Selected participants will join training modules, receive innovation grants of up to USD$5,000, and gain access to mentorship, networking and investment readiness support. United Nations Environment Program — Sustainable Public Finance for Biodiversity

The IKI–GIZ “FAST” (Fast-tracking Transformation through Sustainable Public Finance for Biodiversity) Project seeks up to eight implementing partners to support work in Brazil, Costa Rica, Indonesia, and Nigeria. The program aims to help countries redesign public finance systems to align financial flows with biodiversity protection. Activities ( up to US$450 thousand per country) include conducting stocktaking and feasibility analyses on biodiversity-related public finance, capacity needs assessments, analyzing fiscal impacts on biodiversity, forming research networks, and developing indicators linking biodiversity, gender, and public finance. United Nations Academic Impact — Millennium Fellowship

The Millennium Fellowship is a semester-long leadership development program with access to training, connections, and recognition. The program will run on campuses worldwide from August to November where cohorts of 8-20 Millennium Fellows have been selected. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and be enrolled in a college or university. The Millennium Fellowship is open for undergraduate students only. The application deadline is 31 October 2025. Earth Journalism Network — Climate Media Initiative Seed Grants for Media Outlets

The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) invites media outlets based in Thailand or Indonesia to apply for seed grants of up to €8,000 to launch new reporting programs focused on how business and the private sector are engaging with climate change. Applicants can be newspapers, online media, radio, television, multimedia platforms or social-media channels; proposals must commit to producing at least five stories or episodes and aim for sustained integration into existing media programming. MedWet — World Wetlands Day

MedWet launches a call for projects to financially support actors in the realization of educational animations within the framework of the World Wetlands Day 2025. MedWet will select up to 34 projects and provide financial support of €250 for the implementation of campaigns and educational activities that highlight the importance of wetlands for humanity and the planet. Earth Journalism Network — Virtual Media Workshop: Strengthen Reporting on Environmental Threats and Solutions in the Western Balkans

Earth Journalism Network (EJN) hosts a two-day virtual media workshop (January 2026) for journalists in the Western Balkans interested in reporting on environmental threats and solutions. Applicants can be from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Kosovo. EJN will award 10-12 grants to journalists to support in-depth reporting on the different threats to biodiversity and innovative and scalable solutions to protect and conserve ecosystems. European Space Agency — Living Planet Fellowship 2025

The European Space Agency (ESA) invites young researchers to submit research proposals for the Living Planet Fellowship 2018. Eligible research areas are (1) Advancing Novel Methods and Techniques; and (2) Advancing Earth System Science. ESA will support up to 10 Post-Doctoral researchers to carry out a research project at a Host Institution in an eligible ESA Member State. East-West Center — Asia Pacific Leadership Program 2026

The Asia Pacific Leadership Program (APLP) invites individuals with a demonstrated commitment to promoting peace and prosperity in the Asia-Pacific region to apply for a 9-month program of leadership training and professional development on emerging issues. Inter-disciplinary interests at the East-West Center include climate change, land use, water and energy demands, etc., — among other social and environmental themes.
