The AGCO Agriculture Foundation (AAF) seeks proposals from non-profit organizations and public universities/educational institutions around the world. AAF considers proposals that increase the capacity of farmers, farming communities, young people and/or women, and facilitates access to the tools, training, activities, and support. Grants between US$200 thousand and US$450 thousand are available. Only non-profits and public universities/educational institutions with innovative solutions targeted at increasing the capacity of farmers are eligible to apply for grant funding. Embassy of the Czech Republic in Bangkok — Small-Scale Local Projects in Thailand and Laos
The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Bangkok invites applications for small-scale development projects from organizations in Thailand or Laos. Projects and development activities in the areas of environment, agriculture, health, education, and social services are welcome. The Czech Republic will provide between CZK 200 thousand and CZK 500 thousand per project. Non-profit organizations, educational institutions, or community groups are welcome to apply. International Development Research Centre — Innovative Veterinary Solutions for Antimicrobial Resistance
Innovative Veterinary Solutions for Antimicrobial Resistance supports research that will identify and develop prophylactic and therapeutic innovative veterinary solutions while reducing the use of antimicrobials in ruminants and aquaculture operations in low- and middle-income countries. These solutions should target the prevention and control of bacterial infectious diseases. A series of grants of up to CA$1.6 million will be issued. Royal Entomological Society — Insect Photography Competition
The Royal Entomological Society Insect Photography competition is open to all amateur photographers. Photographs entered for the Competition should feature an insect (or group of insects) occurring naturally in the situation in which it is photographed. The subject can be of any life-stage, from egg through nymph, larva or pupa to adult, and can be an insect from anywhere in the world. Prizes range from £250 to £750. UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office — Chevening Scholarships 2024-2025
The Chevening Scholarships provide full or partial funding for full-time courses at postgraduate level, normally a one-year master’s degree, in any subject at any UK university. Chevening Scholars come from 150 countries, excluding the USA and the EU. Applicants complete the application forms for their chosen universities. Commission for Environmental Cooperation — Environmental Justice and Climate Resilience
The EJ4Climate Grant Program supports environmental justice and climate resilience for underserved, vulnerable communities, and Indigenous communities across North America (including Mexico). Possible projects under the grant program could include addressing extreme weather impacts, transitioning to clean energy and/or transportation systems, or utilizing traditional ecological knowledge to address climate change impacts. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, community-based associations, Indigenous Peoples and communities, universities, and academic and public research institutions. The Acumen Fund promotes the power of social innovation to create solutions to the world’s most pressing problems. The India Fellows Program is designed to equip local leaders with the tools, mindset, and community to tackle poverty and injustice in their communities. Past fellows have included several in smallholder agriculture, renewable energy, waste management, fair trade, and other areas. Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund — Biodiversity Conservation in Madagascar and the Indian Ocean Islands (Madagascar)
The Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) seeks to empower communities and civil society in Madagascar to implement actions to improve the resilience of species, ecosystems and human populations to climate changes. CEPF intends to make small grants of up to US$50 thousand in support of strengthening the capacity of local communities and civil society at regional and local levels to enhance adaptive capacity and reduce exposure to climate change risks, and supporting research and ensure the dissemination of results for the promotion and improvement of knowledge on ecosystem-based adaptation actions. Pôle International Francophone des Gestionnaires de Sites Patrimoniaux — International Training in Sustainable Heritage Site Management
The French-speaking International Pole of the Great Sites Network of France (RGSF) invites applications for the 9th edition of the Intensive International Training “Building the Future of Heritage Sites together: Developing and Implementing Sustainable Management”. The training is intended for francophone managers working on natural or cultural heritage sites who wish to improve their professional practice. The workshop will be held in Bibracte-Morvan des Sommets (France) in June/July 2024. The program does not offer direct financial support but candidates from emerging countries will receive support in their search for a scholarship(s), provided that a local or national administration of the applicant’s home state agrees to finance at least part of the expenses.
