The Explorers Club Impact Grants support individual researchers and explorers worldwide who conduct field-based scientific expeditions in disciplines such as ecology, earth sciences, anthropology, archaeology, paleontology, and astronomy—especially exploring regions experiencing environmental or cultural change. The Wildlife Emergency Fund (WEF) is a small grant program that provides emergency funding of up to US$2,500 to address severe and time-sensitive threats to wildlife. Research and awareness/outreach/education programs will not be considered for WEF. Support is intended for short-term emergency action. Water Witness International — Fair Water Action Fund
The Fair Water Action Fund supports civil society organizations, journalists, and researchers in the Global South—especially in Africa—to promote water justice and hold governments and corporations accountable for water security. Grants range from £3,000 to £36,000 for projects up to 12 months that focus on advocacy, community monitoring, investigative reporting, and systemic change. Eligible applicants include grassroots networks, NGOs, academic centers, and independent media. Priority is given to countries facing water scarcity and governance challenges. The Nature Conservancy — Mangrove-Positive Businesses Funding
The Nature Conservancy supports scalable, nature-positive business models that incentivize the conservation of mangroves, seagrasses, and tidal marshes. The 2025 call focuses on four high-impact value chains: integrated mud crab aquaculture, sustainable shrimp farming, nutraceutical products from mangroves, and Nypa palm-based goods such as sugar, vinegar, and biodegradable crafts. Up to US$1.25 million in total funding and technical assistance will be allocated to around five selected partners. Global Center on Adaptation — Climate Adaption Video Competition
For the Youth Climate Adaptation Action Day, the Global Center on Adaptation seeks one-minute videos on “My Climate Adaptation Solution.” Participants must submit one‑minute videos showcasing innovative adaptation ideas in areas like nature-based solutions, water, climate-resilient agriculture, education, and advocacy. Lever for Change — Emerging Climate Champions Award
The Emerging Climate Champions Award provides flexible multiyear grants of $1 million each to youth-led (ages 15–35) climate organizations worldwide. It supports groups with at least two years of active operations, community leadership, and measurable climate impact—spanning initiatives in climate justice, conservation, sustainable agriculture, resilience, movement building, and more. Institute for Global Environmental Strategies — Satoyama Development Mechanism 2025
The IGES, the United Nations University Institute for Advanced Studies on Sustainability, and Japan’s Ministry of the Environment announce the latest round of sub-grants under the Satoyama Development Mechanism. The International Partnership for the Satoyama Initiative (IPSI) promotes the sustainable use of Socio-Ecological Production Landscapes and Seascapes. Grants are up to US$20 thousand for field projects; research; collaboration activities; and capacity building and outreach that link ecosystems and community systems on a sustainable basis. Play for Nature — Biodiversity Conservation
Play for Nature supports global biodiversity conservation through two thematic tracks: Biodiv’Monde, focused on in-situ conservation and scientific studies of endangered species and habitats, and Biodiv’Sport, which funds projects linking biodiversity awareness with sports events and outdoor activities. Brookfield Zoo Chicago — Endangered Species Fund
The Brookfield Zoo Chicago administers conservation grants funded by the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT).
