U. S. Government — Fellows Program for Young Women in Agribusiness

The Advancing Young Women Professional Fellows Program offers capacity-building in agro-entrepreneurship and agri-food system innovation and advances their ability to support women’s economic empowerment. The U.S. program will include a four-week professional internship in Michigan. The program is open to young female agribusiness entrepreneurs working in Rwanda, South Africa, Zambia, or Zimbabwe. University of Durham — Hatfield Lioness Scholarship 2024

The University of Durham is open to applications for the Hatfield Lioness Scholarship 2024. The scholarship aims to enable female students from developing countries to undertake postgraduate studies at the University of Durham. Applicants must be offered a place in one of the University’s master’s programs and be a nationals of a developing country listed in the call. The scholarship provides tuition fees, stipend, accommodation, visa and travel costs. Applications must be submitted before 31 March 2024. About

 

 

Nature Research — Awards for Inspiring Women in Science

Nature Research seeks applications for the Nature Research Award. The Scientific Achievement Category celebrates an outstanding female early-career researcher, the Science Outreach Category will honor an individual or organization who has driven initiatives to encourage girls or young women to engage with STEM subjects around the world. Coca-Cola Foundation — Water Projects for Communities

The Coca-Cola Foundation’s priority areas for grant making are women, well-being, and water. Past projects include grants for access to clean water and sanitation; watershed management in water-stressed areas; multiple-use systems for water; and education and awareness in water conservation. Grants are generally made to tax-exempt nonprofit charitable organizations. Grant seekers apply for cash grants or fund-raising sponsorships. Coca-Cola’s regional and country foundations share these global priorities and add others — mainly in areas of education, health, and environment. Applications can be submitted at any time. Link

Sustainable Energy for All — Women in STEM Traineeship

Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL) helps women and youth in energy transition by supporting their entry into and career progression within the sector. The SEforALL Traineeship provides a training opportunity complemented by on-the-job learning, including site visits, workshops, and supplementary training programs. Canada Fund for Local Initiatives — Community Projects in El Salvador

The Canada Fund for Local Initiatives invites proposals that meet the needs of local communities in El Salvador. The priorities under this call include environment, climate action focusing on adaptation and mitigation, and water management. Project funding is C$30 thousand to C$40 thousand. Borlaug Global Rust Initiative — Support for Women in Wheat Research

The Borlaug Global Rust Initiative (BGRI) offers the Jeanie Borlaug Laube award for the professional development of women working on wheat research during the early stages of their careers. World Academy of Sciences — Science Awards

Every two years, the World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) awards nine prizes of US$10 thousand each to individual scientists who have been working and living in a developing country for at least 10 years. The disciplinary fields include agricultural sciences, biology, and six others. Nominations of women scientists are particularly encouraged. The deadline for nominations is 05 April 2024. UN Trust Fund — End Violence against Women

The UN Trust Fund seeks proposals for initiatives to end violence against women and girls. Projects supported include projects in climate change-affected areas, and projects focused on protecting and empowering women living in rural areas. Grants are between US$150 thousand to US$1 million for four years. The UN Trust Fund only accepts applications from civil society organizations and women’s rights organizations with a track record of working on the elimination of violence against women and girls. U.S. Department of State — TechWomen 2024

TechWomen offers professional mentorship and exchange to emerging women leaders in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics from the developing world. The program is open to qualified women with a minimum of 2 years full-time professional experience in the STEM fields. Applicants must be citizens of Algeria, Cameroon, Egypt, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Nigeria, Pakistan, the Palestinian Territories, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan or Zimbabwe.
