SEED offers valuable resources and professional support to expand entrepreneurial ideas while learning from peers during interactive SEED Starter workshops. SEED Starter workshops consist of a team of 2-5 members that bring in a business idea for addressing environmental, social and economic challenges. Successful alumni are invited to apply for a SEED Grant for up to €1,000 which pays for resources required to establish the new enterprise. U.S. Embassy Morocco — Women in STEM Mentorship Program
The U.S. Embassy Morocco announces an open grant competition to award a cooperative agreement to organize a Women in STEM Mentorship Program. The program will foster a community of women in STEM and will provide a platform for young women to connect with each other. Funding of up to US$70 thousand is available for the implementation of the program. International Journalists’ Programmes — Fellowship for Climate and Energy Topics
International Journalists’ Programmes (IJP) announces a special fellowship for journalists interested in reporting in the field of climate and energy. Ten journalists, who are granted the climate & energy bursary, will receive training, support, and are welcome to pursue transnational research on a common topic during their fellowship. Each fellow will receive a stipend of €3.800 to help cover travel costs, accommodation and personal expenses. Eligibility extends to journalists working for any print, radio, online or TV media in Germany, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovenia, and Slovakia. Asian Forest Cooperation Organization — Landmark Scholarship Program
The Asian Forest Cooperation Organization (AFoCO) calls for applications for the “2023-2024 Landmark Scholarship Program”. AFoCO will select one candidate for doctoral degree course and three candidates for a master’s degree course. Applicants must be citizens of ASEAN Member Countries, namely Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Lao PDR, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand or Vietnam. Acumen Academy and the Environmental Defense Fund launch a Latin American Artisanal Fisheries Leadership Program for Change Agents leading equitable and sustainable fisheries initiatives. The program is open to leaders with at least 5 years of experience leading artisanal fishing organizations or initiatives or within fishing communities. The program offers leadership training and a strong community to develop future projects. The program only accepts applications from change agents from the artisanal fishing industry working in any Latin American country, including Caribbean countries. Village Capital invites applications for the “Innovation for Ecosystem Restoration: LatAm 2023” accelerator. The course “Tropical Forest Landscapes: Conservation, Restoration and Sustainable Use” is an online certificate program for environmental professionals from around the world. The online program includes four thematic eight-week courses, a yearlong capstone project course and an optional field course in Latin America or Asia. The course covers themes in tropical forest landscape conservation and restoration, climate change mitigation, and food security. Partial scholarships are available on a competitive basis.
