BirdsCaribbean — Research and Conservation of Caribbean Birds
BirdsCaribbean invites applications for its grants programs. The James A. Kushlan Research and Conservation Fund provides support on an annual basis for biological, ecological, and conservation research on waterbirds in the Caribbean region. The Betty Petersen Conservation Fund seeks to advance the conservation status of birds and habitats in the Caribbean region through projects that engage and empower communities and stakeholders to protect and benefit sustainably from their birds. David S. Lee Fund for the Conservation of Caribbean Birds supports applied and innovative projects with direct conservation effects on Caribbean birds and/or their habitats. Awards range from US$2,500 to US$5,000. Grants will be awarded to anyone (individuals or organizations). Applicants from the Caribbean will be given consideration over other nationalities. ProVeg International — Grants
ProVeg Grants provides funding to diet-change organizations and projects that align with ProVeg‘s mission to reduce the global consumption of animals by 50%. The ProVeg Grants program offers expertise and support to organizations. ProVeg provides both financial support and assistance with capacity-building. Van Tienhoven Foundation — Small Grants for Biodiversity Conservation
The Van Tienhoven Foundation for International Nature Protection promotes the protection, conservation, and sustainable use of ecosystems and their living organisms. The Foundation aims to counter the human-induced causes of threats to biodiversity. Only Asian and Latin American countries on the DAC list will be eligible. Non-profit organizations are eligible to apply. Government organizations, companies, or individuals are not supported. The maximum grant is €10 thousand. National Fish and Wildlife Foundation — Atlantic Flyway Shorebirds 2025
The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) and partners support the conservation of migratory waterbirds and their habitats through strategic investments to secure populations of three species – American oystercatcher (short distance migrant), whimbrel (mid-distance migrant) and threatened red knot (long-distance migrant). The program focuses on priority shorebird sites along the U.S. Atlantic seaboard (including the Florida Gulf Coast and panhandle) as well as priority wintering sites for each of the focal species in the Caribbean and South America. The award size is not specified, but the majority of awards will fall in the US$75 thousand to US$250 thousand range. AGCO Agriculture Foundation — Quality Education, Research and Innovation in Agriculture
The AGCO Agriculture Foundation (AAF) seeks proposals from non-profit organizations and public universities/educational institutions around the world. AAF considers proposals that increase the capacity of farmers, farming communities, young people and/or women, and facilitates access to the tools, training, activities, and support. Grants between US$200 thousand and US$450 thousand are available. Only non-profits and public universities/educational institutions with innovative solutions targeted at increasing the capacity of farmers are eligible to apply for grant funding. Earthshot Prize — Nominations 2025
The Earthshot Prize searches the globe for game-changing innovations that will help repair our planet. The best five solutions receive £1 million to scale their work. The categories are: Protect and Restore Nature; Clean our Air; Revive our Oceans; Build a Waste-Free World; and Fix our Climate. The Earthshot Prize has a network of official nominators. The Catalytic Climate Finance Facility (CC Facility) supports blended finance structures targeting climate action in developing economies. The program provides technical assistance and working capital to accelerate the scaling and deployment of market-ready finance vehicles that target climate change mitigation and/or adaptation. Commission for Environmental Cooperation — Environmental Justice and Climate Resilience
The EJ4Climate Grant Program supports environmental justice and climate resilience for underserved, vulnerable communities, and Indigenous communities across North America (including Mexico). Possible projects under the grant program could include addressing extreme weather impacts, transitioning to clean energy and/or transportation systems, or utilizing traditional ecological knowledge to address climate change impacts. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, community-based associations, Indigenous Peoples and communities, universities, and academic and public research institutions.
