100,000 Strong in the Americas — Cacao for Peace Innovation Fund

The Cacao for Peace Innovation Fund Grant Competition is designed to create and implement new student/faculty exchange and training programs in areas related to the cocoa value chain. Proposals must propose a research project focused on the cacao sector. The Innovation Fund intends to award up to eight grants of US$25 thousand. Higher education institutions in Colombia and the United States are eligible to apply. The deadline to apply is 31 January 2023. Link

World Wildlife Fund U.S. — Reforestation Grants

The Reforestation Grant Program supports communities in deforested and degraded landscapes through forest restoration and reforestation. Reforestation grants are made to local organizations that focus on connecting corridors, creating buffer zones, improving degraded lands, restoring watersheds, and expanding forest cover. SEED and Go4SDGs — Webinar: LAC Future Lab

SEED and Go4SDGs organize the Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) Future Lab for Innovation and Policy. The LAC Future Lab offers a platform to develop future-proof solutions for challenges in the agri-food sector. The Lab will discuss practical solutions and exemplary cases for the industry’s challenges. The Future Lab targets green SMEs and organizations, who work at the interface of business, civil society and politics supporting green SMEs or circular economy solutions. GreenTech — Latin America Event

Greentech Business is a platform of technological solution research with a high potential of positive impact on environmental problems. The fourth edition of GreenTech América Latina seeks innovative sustainable technologies start-ups who seek to advance towards decarbonization. By registering solutions on the platform, inventors gain global reach and visibility, and will automatically be participating in the selection process to present their company at the GreenTech América Latina 2022 event. Facebook — Community Accelerator Program

Facebook announces its Community Accelerator Program to provide training, support and funding to enable great communities to make an even greater positive impact in the world. Facebook will award up to US$40 thousand per community and provide personalized coaching. The program is open to communities that have a presence in Facebook Groups with leaders who reside in the following countries: Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Mexico, Brazil, United States, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Bangladesh, United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, Zambia, Tanzania, Egypt, Morocco, Lebanon, Jordan, United Arab Emirate & India. Commonwealth Secretariat — Commonwealth Youth Awards 2023

The Commonwealth Youth Awards for Excellence in Development Work recognize individuals ages 15 to 29 who lead innovative development projects in themes that include agriculture, small enterprise, skills training, climate change, environmental protection, sustainable livelihoods, and poverty reduction. The program selects regional winners from each of Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, and the Pacific. Winners are awarded grants of up to a total of £5 thousand in total to advance their projects. Clean Cooking Alliance — Haiti Clean Cooking Fund

The Haiti Clean Cooking Fund provides financial and technical assistance to support the growth of clean cooking companies in Haiti. The size of individual awards will range from US$25 thousand to US$250 thousand. The Fund will give preference to companies that can provide matched funding (50%). The Fund is open to companies and nonprofit entities in Haiti. Non-Haitian Companies may participate, provided they have an interest in entering the Haitian market or partnering with a local Haitian entity to manufacture, supply, and distribute clean cooking solutions in Haiti on a commercial basis. Global Water Partnership-Caribbean — Youth Workshop Caribbean

The Global Water Partnership-Caribbean (GWP-C) invites applications to the workshop “To Save the Water…Let’s Talk About Shit”. The workshop will focus on the roles of Youth and the Media in Caribbean Wastewater Management. Participation is open to Caribbean Youth and Journalists residing in Caribbean countries. As part of the workshop, participants will also be given the opportunity to create social media content to raise awareness amongst the wider public. The workshop will be open to young Caribbean nationals and Journalists aged 18-34 years. The Expression of Interest has to be submitted by 31 August 2022. Link to GWP-C

BIOPAMA — Small Technical Grants for Assessment of Conservation Areas

Biodiversity and Protected Areas Management (BIOPAMA) makes small grants for the technical assessment of protected conservation areas. Small Technical Grants for Assessment (STGA) aim to identify result-oriented priority actions for improved protected and conserved areas management and governance. Grant size can vary from a minimum of €50 thousand to a maximum of €100 thousand. Assessments must take place in priority areas such as key landscapes for conservation, key biodiversity areas, marine managed areas or other protected and conserved areas in the Caribbean. Eligibility extends to non-profit organizations, government agencies, and small or medium enterprises. The deadline to submit applications to this call for proposals is 30 September 2022. Fondation Segré — Research Support Grants

Fondation Segré supports on-the-ground conservation actions with the goal of improving the status of threatened animal species (terrestrial, freshwater and marine) and their habitats across Asia, the Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean, Africa, and the Middle East. Research Support Grants have a maximum grant size of €5 thousand to support young and early scientists in their research to improve knowledge on threatened species and their role in natural ecosystems. Projects must focus on Lizards, Snakes, or Worm Lizards. Eligibility extends to local or national non-profit organizations. Applicants can submit applications in English or French.
