National Geographic Society — Conservation Technologies

The National Geographic Society seeks proposals from around the world that will advance innovative conservation technologies to explore, visualize, and protect the planet. Priority will be given to projects that use multi-sensor monitoring systems, advance surveillance/alarm systems for protected areas, or develop new tools and capabilities needed to generate data. Typical proposal requests should be less than US$50 thousand, but applicants may request up to US$100 thousand. The deadline for applications is 10 July 2018. Click here

Islamic Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organisation — Research Grants

ISESCO Research Grants are awarded for high-level and promising scientific research projects in the fields of agricultural biotechnology, biological sciences, and medicinal plants, among others. Researchers are awarded a maximum amount of US$10 thousand for a period of two years. Applicants should be national residents of OIC member states and be under the age of 40 years. Biodiversity Congress — Registrations 2018

The 7th International Conference on Biodiversity Conservation and Ecosystem Management (26-27 July 2018 in Melbourne, Australia) is a global platform to meet worldwide professionals in environment science, discuss and learn about Ecology and its associated fields. Researchers, scientists, scholars, students and business delegates from all around the world are invited to register and submit abstracts. There is no fully-funded scholarship to attend the congress but applicants receive a discount when contacting the program manager prior to registration (referral code: BCTVG-2018). International Conference on Diseases of Zoo and Wild Animals — Rudolf Ippen Young Scientist Award 2018

The Award honors a young scientist who published a promising scientific paper in the thematic areas of wildlife veterinary science, conservation medicine, or zoo animal medicine. The “Rudolf Ippen Young Scientist Award” will be awarded at the 2018 Joint AAZV/EAZWV/Leibniz-IZW Conference in Prague (Czech Republic) in October 2018. The award is endowed with €1 thousand. EEA and Norway Grants — Strengthening Bilateral Relations

The EEA and Norway Grants support cross-border and transnational project initiatives in ten non-EU Member States. Proposals that fall within the scope of the Terra Viva Grants Directory include environment, energy, and climate change projects, among other focus areas. Grants are available for national and local authorities, NGOs and civil society organisations, private and public enterprises, educational and research institutions, students and teaching staff and social partners. Eligible entities must apply as a consortium, consisting of entities from a minimum of three countries (a list of eligible countries is shared in the announcement). Blue Earth Alliance — Photography Projects

Blue Earth sponsors photography projects that educate the public about threatened cultures, endangered environments, and other social concerns. Blue Earth provides assistance with fund raising, publishing, and publicity. However, it does not make direct grants to sponsored projects.
