The Earth Foundation — Earth Prize Schools Competition

The Earth Foundation invites secondary school students aged 13–19, working individually or in teams, to propose innovative solutions to environmental challenges at the local, national, or global level. Participants receive mentorship, learning resources, and expert guidance to refine their projects, with selected entries competing for cash prizes of up to US$12,500. Mangrove Breakthrough — Mangrove Conservation and Restoration

Mangrove Breakthrough seeks projects worldwide that protect, restore or support mangrove ecosystems. Eligible proposals include mangrove restoration or conservation; blue-carbon finance; biodiversity or climate-linked crediting mechanisms; community-based livelihood or stewardship initiatives; nature-tech or monitoring tools for mangrove health; and sustainable businesses tied to mangrove landscapes (e.g. fisheries, coastal agriculture, eco-tourism). Successful submissions gain visibility, exposure at global climate events, and access to investors or funders. The deadline to submit the Expression of Interest is 30 January 2026. University of Pennsylvania — Sustainability and Conservation Science Postdoctoral Fellowship

The Sustainability and Conservation Science Postdoctoral Fellowship supports early-career researchers conducting interdisciplinary work at the intersection of environmental science, conservation, sustainability, and policy-relevant research. The fellowship is open to recent PhD graduates from relevant disciplines. Fellows receive a competitive salary and full benefits for a two-year appointment, along with research support, mentoring, and opportunities for collaboration across Penn departments and centers. Free Electrons — Clean Energy Transition

The Free Electrons Program is a global open-innovation accelerator that connects energy startups with leading utilities and energy system operators to pilot and scale breakthrough solutions for the energy transition. The program is open to startups worldwide with mature, market-ready technologies addressing areas such as grid digitalization, renewables integration, energy storage, flexibility, electrification, and climate resilience. Selected startups receive non-dilutive support, including paid pilot opportunities, access to utility partners, technical validation, mentoring, and global exposure (rather than a fixed cash grant). HCLTech — Climate Action Grant

HCLTech accepts applications for the Climate Action Grant which provides grants to non-governmental organizations combating climate change and restoring ecosystems and biodiversity across the Americas. HCLTech accepts proposals for climate action in focus areas such as wildlife and biodiversity conservation; land and ocean action; clean energy; climate advocacy; campaigns; and climate risk reduction. Enterprise Singapore — Sustainability Open Innovation Challenge

The Sustainability Open Innovation Challenge invites industry partners and creative innovators to co-develop sustainable solutions in key areas such as renewable energy, offshore wind, greener industries, sustainable agrifood and sustainable materials. Participants have the chance to collaborate with major partners and access funding to develop their solutions. Prizes include potential grant support (US$100 thousand from Hexagon Group), as well as funding and real-world testing facilitated by industry pioneers. Marc and Nora Van Montagu Fund — Fellowship Program for Women Researchers in Africa

The Open Doors Fellowship Program (ODFP) targets post-doctoral and mid-career women researchers conducting agricultural research in Africa. Fellows receive financial incentives to enhance their scientific visibility and a research stay in Belgium. Applicants’ research fields must be plant breeding, agrobiotechnology, molecular biology and genetics, microbiology, chemical ecology, plant & soil health, livestock or aquaculture. Science Park Graz — Startup Idea Competition 2026

The Science Park Graz invites young inventors to submit their business ideas to the Startup Idea Competition in one of six categories, including Energy & Environment. The winners in each category will be invited to the award ceremony in Graz, Austria and receive €2 thousand each. The deadline for idea submission is 31 January 2026. Convergence — Asia Climate Solutions Design Grant

The Asia Climate Solutions (ACS) Design Grant awards grant funding for the design and launch of innovative blended finance solutions for climate transition and resilience in Asia. The grant will target critical climate mitigation and adaptation sectors in Asia including nature-based solutions, clean energy transition, and sustainable cities and infrastructure. Feasibility study grants range between US$50 thousand to US$200 thousand. Proof-of-concept grants range between US$200 thousand to US$400 thousand. Proposals will only be accepted from organizations or consortiums of organizations. The next application deadline for concept notes is 11 January 2026. Asia Climate Solutions Design Grant

African Wildlife Foundation — Geospatial Leaders Fellowship

The African Wildlife Foundation invites early- to mid-career African conservation professionals to apply to the AWF Geospatial Leaders Fellowship. The Fellowship is a professional development program for conservation leaders who use GIS, remote sensing, and spatial data to address wildlife conservation and landscape management challenges across Africa. The fellowship supports a cohort-based learning experience that includes advanced geospatial training, mentorship, peer learning, and leadership development, with fellows applying their skills to real conservation projects within their organizations. It is open to African nationals working in conservation NGOs, government agencies, research institutions, or community-based organizations, and typically covers training costs, mentorship, and participation support rather than direct cash grants.
