The program seeks to advance rain enhancement science and technology, focusing on five key areas: enhanced seeding materials, rain enhancement systems, autonomous aerial systems, localized climate intervention, and advanced models, software, and data. Proposals are evaluated based on scientific merit, project plan, team qualifications, resource availability, and capacity building. Venture For ClimateTech is a global venture studio and accelerator program that supports early-stage climate technology innovators. The program offers up to US$50 thousand in non-dilutive funding, mentorship, and resources to help entrepreneurs bring their climate solutions to market. Eligible applicants include individuals and teams worldwide with innovations capable of significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions, particularly in sectors such as buildings, transportation, grid, and industry. European Commission — Young Energy Ambassadors Program 2025
The Young Energy Ambassadors (YEA) program offers individuals aged 18 to 35 the opportunity to engage in EU energy policy making and promote a clean, fair energy transition. Ambassadors will participate in the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) from June 10-12, 2025, and contribute to the European Youth Energy Day. The year-long mandate includes mentorship, workshops, policy dialogues, and media features. Earth Journalism Network — Text Reports on Renewable Energy in India
The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) supports communicators in the production of in-depth reports on various aspects of the transition to renewable energy in India. EJN welcomes pitches on the progress of the transition towards clean energy, the challenges ahead and how to overcome them, and scalable and replicable solutions that empower communities through decentralized renewable energy initiatives. West African Research Association — Residency Fellowship
The West African Research Association, (WARA) offers Residencies for WARA member institutions to host a West African Scholar on their campus. Each residency will last 4-8 weeks. WARA will pay the round-trip travel costs of the selected scholar as well as a stipend of US$3500 to help cover meals and local transportation costs. Earth Journalism Network — Virtual Media Workshop on Covering Great Apes and One Health
The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) hosts a virtual media workshop for environmental journalists in range countries in Africa seeking to report on the threats faced by great apes, particularly the impact of disease and other health considerations, as well as conservation strategies to protect these species and their habitats. Journalists will learn from researchers, policymakers and local communities working in the field of great ape conservation. Participants who attend all three days of the workshop will also be eligible to apply for a story grant to produce journalistic work following the workshop. Swedish Institute — Scholarships for Global Professionals
The Swedish Institute (SI) provides fully-funded international scholarships for master’s studies in Sweden. The scholarship for global professionals aims to develop future global leaders who will contribute to the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and contribute to positive and sustainable development in their home countries. The scholarship is intended for full-time one-year or two-year master’s programs.
