The Prince Talal International Prize for Human Development supports efforts aiming at the promotion and enhancement of human development concepts. The objective is to highlight innovative experiences and continuously support distinguished efforts in various fields of development. The 2025 Prize honors projects and initiatives in line with SDG 7 “Affordable and Clean Energy”. Prizes range from US$100 thousand to US$400 thousand. Projects implemented by UN agencies, international or regional NGOs, governmental bodies, social business enterprises, and individuals are eligible. The Vegan Society supports projects that support small scale animal agriculture farming to transition to crop farming or land management. Or other forms of sustainable land management that don’t use animals. The typical award is no more than £1 thousand. The Vegan Society welcomes applications from across the world. Commonwealth Scholarship Commission — Professional Fellowships 2025/26
Commonwealth Professional Fellowships support mid-career professionals from developing Commonwealth countries to make professional visits (typically of three months) with UK host organizations. Applications are invited in the thematic area of clean energy, air, and oceans. Fellows must be Commonwealth citizens, refugees, or British-protected persons — and they must be permanent residents in a developing Commonwealth country. Stiftung Artenschutz — Amphibian Conservation Fund
The Amphibian Conservation Fund supports conservation actions for threatened amphibian species worldwide. Projects must focus on species listed as Critically Endangered, Endangered, or Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List. Initiatives targeting Data Deficient or Not Evaluated species may also qualify if a clear conservation concern is demonstrated. Eligible activities include habitat protection, urgent field research, conservation breeding, reintroductions, training, education, and community engagement. Funding is available for projects up to €5,000 with a duration of up to 12 months. Proposals are accepted in English or German, and the program is open to applicants from any country. The Small Grants Program supports conservation projects for threatened animal species of all taxa. G20 Global Land Initiative — Restoration Returns Grants Program
The Restoration Returns Grants Program provides community-led ecosystem restoration projects worldwide with flexible funding of up to US$17 thousand per project. The grant supports ongoing or proposed restoration efforts that improve land productivity, cover or ecosystem function across a wide range of landscapes—forests, grasslands, wetlands, croplands, drylands, mangroves, peatlands, tundra, and urban environments. Eligible applicants are civil society organizations of any size, NGOs, Indigenous groups, cooperatives, or academic institutions. The application deadline is 15 September 2025. World Academy of Sciences — Research Cooperation Visits Program
TWAS-SISSA-Lincei invites young scientists from least-developed countries to carry out collaborative research projects in Physics, Neuroscience, Mathematics, and Science Outreach as well as projects that fall under the umbrella of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Scientists have the opportunity to visit research laboratories in Trieste (Italy) to carry out research work in scientific fields within the SISSA portfolio.
