Canada Fund for Local Initiatives — Community Projects in Panama

The Canada Fund for Local Initiatives invites proposals that meet the needs of local communities in Panama. The priorities under this call include women’s economic rights, decent jobs and entrepreneurship, and investing in the poorest and most vulnerable (which may include agriculture or aquaculture projects), as well as environment, climate action focusing on adaptation and mitigation, and water management. The average contribution is C$10 thousand to C$25 thousand per project. Eligibility extends to local community organizations, non-profit organizations, and academic institutions. German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development — Digital Innovation for Smallholder Farmers in Latin America

The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development seeks solutions that use agricultural technologies and digital tools (agritech) to enhance the profitability of smallholder farmers in Latin America, improving their resilience to climate change. Selected entities will receive grants of up to US$ 85 thousand to fund technical assistance projects tailored to the conditions, needs, and potential of smallholder farmers. Lush Retail, Inc. — Animal Protection, Environment, and Human Rights

Lush makes grants through a Charity Pot to small grassroots organizations for projects in environment, animal protection, and human rights. It prefers to support projects which aim to change opinion and behavior through raising awareness of issues, activism, and education and campaigning. The special self-help program of the U.S. Embassy to Lesotho supports small, sustainable community-based initiatives that have an immediate and strong impact on the local community. The Embassy expects to support different types of projects: from development projects such as agricultural cooperatives to women’s empowerment and the environment. Grants typically range from US$3 thousand to US$10 thousand per project. All applicants must include a significant community contribution. Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development — Development Projects in Arab Countries

The Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD) finances development projects in countries of the League of Arab States. Grants can be used for technical and economic feasibility studies; or seminars and conferences. Thematic areas include agriculture and dry lands, water supply, environment, and many others. Grant size varies from less than US$20 thousand to over US$10 million. Grants are made to governmental organizations, NGOs, and civil society organizations. There is no application deadline. Embassy of Finland in Kyiv — Local Cooperation Fund Ukraine

The Embassy of Finland seeks applications from local Ukrainian NGOs for projects to be funded by the Local Cooperation Fund (LCF). The project should focus on energy and environment; or education and training. The total amount to be disbursed to the selected projects is €500 thousand. A maximum of 3-4 projects will be selected to receive funding. The deadline for submitting project proposals is 20 February 2024. Link

Deloitte — Lead2030 Challenge for SDG 13 (Climate Action)

The Young One World Lead2030 Challenge for SDG 13 seeks to support scalable youth-led solutions that address climate change. The challenge welcomes solutions from young innovators (18-30 years old). The winner will receive a US$50 thousand project startup grant and 12 months of mentorship from Deloitte professionals.
