Forest and Farm Facility — Call for Proposals 2019
The Forest and Farm Facility together with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED), the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and AgriCord launched the call for proposals to support regional and global forest and farm producer organizations to enable climate resilient landscapes and improved livelihoods. There will be one grant for a regional organization based in Africa, one in Asia and one in Latin America. In addition, and also one grant for an international association representing indigenous peoples. The grants will be up to US$75 thousand for one year. The deadline for applications is 01 June 2019. U.S. Department of State — YSEALI Academic Fellowship
The Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) is a program of the U.S. government to support bright young leaders in the ASEAN countries. The YSEALI Academic Fellowship offer support to participate in a five-week institute on the campus of a U.S. university or college in one of the following topics: civil engagement; environmental issues; or social entrepreneurship and economic development. The fellowships include leadership development, an educational study tour, local community service activities, and opportunities to engage with peers in the USA. The Norwegian Human Rights Fund — Land and Environmental Rights
The Norwegian Human Rights Fund (NHRF) invites applications for the Land and Environmental Rights call for proposals. Through this call, NRHF seeks to increase support to human rights organisations working with land rights and environmental rights, including natural resources.The call is open to human rights organisations located and working with land and environmental rights in Indonesia, Mexico and Thailand. RMTI University — Scholarships 2019
The RMTI University offers scholarships for international students undertaking a degree at the University’s College of Science, Engineering and Health. Courses in the Science department include environmental science, food science, biological sciences, among others. Eligible candidates must be citizens of Indonesia, Malaysia or Singapore that achieve a minimum of 70% average in their highest level of education award. The British Embassy, through the Foreign & Commonwealth Office’s programme, invites local and international organisations to submit proposals for projects on British Embassy priorities in Peru. There are four thematic areas, including ‘clean growth’ that relates to reducing the use of plastics and initiatives that contribute to making the Pan American and Parapan American Games carbon neutral. Canada Fund for Local Initiatives — Community Projects in Eurasia and Central Asia
The Canada Fund for Local Initiatives invites proposals that meet the needs of local communities in any one of the following countries: Turkey, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkmenistan. The priorities under this call include one on environment and climate action focusing on adaptation and mitigation, as well as on water management. The average contribution is expected to be in the range of C$15 thousand to C$30 thousand per project. Larger projects may be considered on an exceptional basis. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) offers grants to foreign citizens and Italian citizens living abroad for the academic year 2019-2020 in order to foster international cultural, scientific and technological cooperation. Grants are offered to pursue study, training, and/or research programs at Italian Higher Education Institutes. Pulitzer Center — Data Journalism and Property Rights Grants
The Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting provides travel grants to cover hard costs associated with upcoming travel for an international reporting project. The Pulitzer Center seeks applications for data-driven journalism projects related to land rights and property rights. Projects may focus on issues related to indigenous land rights due to the exploration of natural resources, among many other themes. Most awards fall in the range of US$5-15 thousand.
