Eurasia Foundation — US-Russia Social Expertise Exchange 2022

The US-Russia Social Expertise Exchange (SEE) supports professionals and entrepreneurs in Russia and the USA to engage in a meaningful exchange of ideas and best practices. Projects may request funding of up to US$50 thousand for a period between six and nine months. Candidates must be citizens or permanent residents of either the USA or the Russian Federation, and have professional proficiency in both English and Russian. Tzedek — Grassroots Projects in Africa and South Asia

Tzedek is a Jewish charitable organization aiming to reduce extreme poverty, focusing on grassroots projects in Africa and Asia. Tzedek supports local NGOs with the aim to develop partnerships to secure livelihoods of the poorest and most disadvantaged. The Overseas Project Team (OPT) operates Tzedek’s Partnership Project Grants scheme. Projects funded in the past include vocational training, micro-credit, livelihood startups, livestock, agriculture and more. The OPT meets 4-6 times a year. African Academy of Sciences — Research Grant

The African Research Initiative for Scientific Excellence Pilot Program (ARISE-PP) Grant is an opportunity for early-career scientists to further develop their research career and become a principal researcher leading their own grant. The program is open to African researchers with 2-7 years of research experience since completion of their PhD and an excellent research proposal to conduct research in an African university or research institution. The ARISE-PP grants are open to applications from all fields of research. The maximum grant amount per grantee is €500 thousand for a period max. 5 years. U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service — Great Ape Conservation Fund 2021

The Great Ape Conservation Fund (Asia) is open to project proposals for the conservation of orangutans and gibbons throughout their ranges in Asia. Grants are for applied research, training, conservation management, community outreach, law enforcement, decreased human-wildlife conflicts, and other activities in conservation. About 15-20 grants will be awarded, ranging from US$50 thousand to a maximum of US$500 thousand. Eligibility for grants extends worldwide to qualified and relevant government agencies, other organizations, multi-national secretariats, and individuals. The application deadline is 07 May 2021. Ramsar Convention– Wetland Conservation Awards 2021

The Secretariat of the Ramsar Convention calls for nominations for the 8th edition of the Ramsar Wetland Conservation Awards, which will be presented at the 14th meeting of the Conference of the Contracting Parties (COP14) in Wuhan, China. The awards recognize and honor the contributions of individuals, organizations, and governments around the world in promoting the conservation and wise use of wetlands. Ecologia — The Virtual Foundation

Ecologia aims to build global connections that create civil society and support environmental, human health, and economic sustainability. In support of these objectives, Ecologia established the Virtual Foundation to raise financial contributions over the internet, and to steer this funding towards project implementers in partner countries. The Virtual Foundation supports small scale projects with grants of up to US$5 thousand, with preference for projects under US$2 thousand. There is no calendar deadline. Link

Cargill — Cargill Global Scholars Program 2021

The agribusiness company Cargill offers scholarships to university students interested in food security, agriculture, and risk management. Applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Russia, or the USA — and attend university in those countries. Each Cargill Global Scholar receives an annual scholarship for up to two years, as well as opportunities for leadership training and networking. The application deadlines are 04 March 2021 for India; 04 March 2021 for applicants in the USA; 31 March 2021 for Russia; 27 April 2021 for China; 26 May 2021 for Brazil; and 04 June 2021 for Indonesia. American Society of Mammalogists — Support to African Graduate Students

The African Graduate Student Research Fund makes awards to African nationals pursuing graduate degrees in mammalogy. Projects must be field oriented investigations of natural history, conservation, ecology, systematics, wildlife biology, biogeography, or behavior.
