The Alstom Foundation invites project proposals from NGOs in eligible countries in the Asia-Pacific region, South Asia, Europe, Eurasia, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa (a full list of eligible countries is provided in the call for proposals). The Foundation supports a range of activities, including economic and social development, environmental protection, access to mobility, and access to energy and water. The Falling Walls Foundation invites nominations and applications for its Global Call to identify the most significant scientific breakthroughs of the year. The program recognizes outstanding research and innovative projects across eight categories: Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Engineering and Technology, Social Sciences and Humanities, Art and Science, Women’s Impact, Science Start-ups, and Science Engagement. Pulitzer Center — Africa Impact Seed Funding
The Pulitzer Center invites applications for the Africa Impact Seed Funding to support micro-scale education projects that address socio-ecological challenges. Open to K-12 teachers, lecturers, researchers, and student groups based in Africa, the program funds activities that utilize Pulitzer Center reporting on rainforests, oceans, and climate change. Projects must be implemented within a four-month period and demonstrate a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Elephant Managers Association — Small Grants Program
The Elephant Managers Association (EMA) accepts proposals focused on field-based conservation projects in Africa and Asia. Projects should have a significant impact on resolving current or urgent elephant-related issues. Higher priority will be given to proposals that provide education and community outreach, provide capacity-building in local communities, and improve captive elephant management and welfare. Tusk Trust — Awards for African Conservation 2026
The Tusk Conservation Awards highlight the achievements of individuals working for conservation in Sub-Saharan Africa. The Prince William Award for Conservation in Africa (£100 thousand) is awarded to a distinguished individual for exceptional lifetime achievement in African conservation. The Tusk Award for Conservation in Africa (£75 thousand) is awarded to an individual who has demonstrated a considerable commitment to conservation, and who has already made a significant impact. The Tusk Wildlife Ranger Award (£30 thousand) recognizes the dedication and commitment of an individual who works in the field on a daily basis protecting Africa’s wildlife. European Union — COAL Prize 2026
The COAL Prize 2026 invites artists to submit projects dedicated to “The Night.” The program seeks to support contemporary art that addresses ecological issues by defending the night as a common good, a refuge for biodiversity, and a vital rhythm for the regeneration of life. The Prize is open to artists from all over the world. The winner receives €12 thousand to support artwork in progress and benefits from an (optional) residence run by the Museum of Hunting and Nature at the Belval Domaine. International Development Research Centre — Science Granting Councils Capacity Strengthening Hub
The International Development Research Centre (IDRC) invites proposals to establish and operate a Capacity Strengthening Hub for the third phase of the Science Granting Councils Initiative in Sub-Saharan Africa. The Hub will coordinate capacity-building plans, manage a digital knowledge-sharing platform, and support monitoring and evaluation for science granting councils across the region. Legally registered organizations or consortia based in Sub-Saharan Africa with expertise in research and innovation management are eligible to apply. SENSE Foundation Brussels invites applications for its grant program to support projects focused on health, environmental protection, and sustainable development. The foundation provides funding for initiatives in areas such as genetics, nutrition, and environmental resilience, as well as scholarships for students in scientific or specific artistic fields. Eligible applicants include legally registered non-profit organizations with at least two years of operational history, as well as students demonstrating academic merit and financial need.
