Investors Hub — Global Investors Hub Challenge 2021

The Investors Hub accepts applications for the Global Investors Hub Challenge 2021. Startups, entrepreneurs and companies can join the competition to get financial help, mentorship and networking opportunities for their business sector or social impact projects. The projects should have the capacity to create employment in alignment with 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This challenge is open for everyone around the world in Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia, Oceania, South America and North America. Winners will be given an opportunity of a bankroll from a Venture Capital Fund with the investment size of US$ 5 thousand to US$500 thousand, depending on the nature of their project. Climate Tracker — Media Research on Coverage of Plastics in Southeast Asia

Climate Tracker seeks emerging journalists and researchers from across Southeast Asia for an online research training fellowship. Research will focus on developing a clearer regional media coverage map and creating brand awareness for the Break Free from Plastic campaign. Fellows will build their relationship with the media in the region, participate in 4 weeks of online training and analyze the coverage of up to 5 publications in their respective country. At the end of the training, selected fellows may receive up to US$800. Applications have to be submitted before 07 March 2021. Media Research Fellowship

University of Essex — Africa Scholarship Programme 2021-2022

The University of Essex invites applications from African students who self fund their postgraduate studies. The university offers a scholarship of £4 thousand to African students that will be paid as a discount on the tuition fee. Available courses include biological sciences, marine biology, and biochemistry, among many others. Applicants that meet all the eligibility criteria and firmly accept the offer of their place by 18 September 2021 will automatically be awarded this scholarship (please read the instructions carefully). What Design Can Do — No Waste Challenge

The No Waste Challenge is a global competition by What Design Can Do (WDCD) in partnership with the IKEA Foundation. WDCD invites creative thinkers to submit innovative solutions to reduce waste and to rethink the entire production and consumption cycle. Global Giving — Crowdfunding Training Opportunity

GlobalGiving is an online platform to raise funds for grassroots projects worldwide across many sectors and themes – including in agriculture, energy, environment, and natural resources. GlobalGiving announces a new Accelerator program that will offer virtual training in online fundraising and participation in a two-week crowdfunding campaign. The program is open to nonprofit organizations anywhere in the world. Organizations that successfully complete the GlobalGiving Accelerator by raising at least US$5 thousand total from a minimum 40 different donors will earn permanent membership with GlobalGiving, in addition to $30 thousand in matching funding and bonus prizes. U.S. Agency for International Development — Reducing Pollution in Vietnam

The U. S. Agency for International Development in Vietnam (USAID) seeks applications from qualified entities to implement the “USAID Reducing Pollution” activity. The overall objective of this activity is to reduce environmental pollution in targeted areas through a collective impact approach. USAID intends to provide up to US$11.3 million in total funding (please note that USAID has established a minimum required cost share of 10%). Eligibility for this call is not restricted. SEED — Low Carbon Award 2021

SEED supports small-scale eco-enterprises in the developing world which integrate social and environmental benefits into their business models. Applicants should be able to explain how the enterprise will be financially viable in the long term and be in the set-up phase and in the early stages of implementation. The eligible countries are Indonesia, India, Ghana, Thailand, Uganda, and South Africa. Each award recipient is granted capacity building and networking opportunities. Fonds SUEZ Initiatives — Water, Sanitation, and Waste Management

Fonds Suez Initiatives makes grants and provides technical skills for projects in water, sanitation, and waste management in developing countries. Eligibility for grants extends to nonprofit organizations and institutions. For projects regarding access to essential services for disadvantaged populations in developing countries, the maximum grant is €80 thousand. European Commission — Behavior Change for Zero Pollution

The European Commission (EC) announces a call for proposals aimed at research and innovation projects with focus on behavioral, social and cultural change for the European Green Deal. Projects under this topic may implement research on the behavioral change of individuals, private corporations and/or the public sector across the EU. Furthermore, actions should include several experimental studies, each implemented in at least four Member States and/or Associated Countries. The Commission considers proposals requesting a contribution between €3-5 million. A full list of eligible countries is provided in the call. The submission deadline is 26 January 2021. RBCLAC — Responsible Business Conduct in Latin America and the Caribbean

The Responsible Business Conduct in Latin America and the Caribbean (RBCLAC) project supports governments and companies in their efforts to promote and maintain Responsible Business Conduct in accordance with international standards (including environmental protection standards). The proposals to be funded should contribute to raising awareness among governments, companies, employers and workers organizations, and other civil society actors. A total of three grants will be offered for a minimum amount of US$85 thousand and a maximum amount of US$100 thousand each. Eligible applicants include non-profit entities, government agencies, grassroots organizations, educational institutions, and international organizations in Latin America, the Caribbean or the European Union.
