Leibniz-Institute of Freshwater Ecology and Inland Fisheries — Fellowship Program in Freshwater Science

The Leibniz-Institute of Freshwater Ecology and Inland Fisheries (IGB) in Germany invites scientists from all countries and at different career stages to apply for a research visit. The program offers fellowships for PhD students, postdocs, and senior scientists for up to 24 months. The position is intended as an opportunity to join IGB to develop and implement original research ideas in ecology, evolutionary biology, microbiology, Ecohydrology, chemistry, behavioral ecology, genomics, inland fisheries and aquaculture. IGB is determined to increase the proportion of women in science, and particularly encourages female scientists to apply. The next application deadline is 01 October 2023. Africa Platform of Ghent University Association — Short Stay Research Fellowships

The Africa Platform of Ghent University Association (GAP) welcomes applications for visiting fellows to facilitate and foster academic collaboration between Ghent University Association and academic institutions in Africa. Awardees will spend a minimum period of two weeks at Ghent University or one of the associated University Colleges. The fellowship consists of a grant of €1000, plus one return flight ticket, for a minimum stay of two weeks. The fellowships are aimed at researchers (junior or senior lecturers & professors) who are affiliated with an African higher education or research institution. Fondation SUEZ — Access to Water and Sanitation

The Fondation SUEZ supports access to essential services such as water, sanitation and waste for underprivileged populations in developing countries. One reward goes to an unregistered, royalty-free innovation developed by a non-profit organization. The other recognizes and encourages an initiative led by a social entrepreneur. Emerging Wildlife Conservation Leaders — Training Program 2023

The Emerging Wildlife Conservation Leaders’ training program helps develop early-career conservation professionals through a combination of skills training, networking opportunities, and the completion of a global wildlife conservation initiative. Participation in the program lasts for two years. Applicants should have at least three years experience in wildlife conservation, with at least 15 years in the profession ahead of them. International applicants must show an ability to cover the cost of two flights to the USA, and must be fluent in English. Applications will be accepted until from 01-31 October 2023. More

American University in Cairo — African Graduate Fellowships

The African Graduate Fellowship offers African students with limited financial means the opportunity to pursue a master degree at the American University in Cairo (AUC). Nationals of African countries (excluding Egypt) can apply for full-time study in any graduate program offered at the AUC, including the Master of Science programs in Biotechnology, Environmental Engineering, and others. The fellowship covers tuition fees, housing, a monthly allowance and health insurance. The application deadlines are 15 January (fall semester) and 17 October (spring semester).
