Research and awareness/outreach/education programs will not be considered for WEF. Support is intended for short-term emergency action. United States Agency for International Development — Climate Finance for Development Accelerator
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Climate Finance for Development Accelerator (CFDA) funds a range of climate change mitigation and adaptation activities focused on scaling up the transition to an equitable and resilient net-zero economy. The Accelerator is a buy-in mechanism that helps USAID missions, bureaus, and independent offices develop and manage climate finance-related partnerships, strengthen enabling environments, and advance learning. Organizations interested in joining the CFIN or becoming a climate finance partner eligible to receive support from the Accelerator, have to complete a partnership intake form. Tools with a Mission — Tools for Livelihoods in Africa
Tools with a Mission (TWAM) supports livelihood projects in DR Congo, Malawi, Uganda, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. The program ships tools and school books to registered charities and NGOs either working in Africa or based in Africa. Organizations can apply for different kits, including the Agricultural Tool Kit, the Electricians Kit, and the Plumbers Tool Kit. The Sahee Foundation makes grants for agriculture, health, education, and the environment in Swaziland and Peru. Sahee selects its partners among regional organizations that are well integrated in these target countries, as well as among local groups in Swaziland and Peru that launch development projects. Charles Hayward Foundation — Livelihoods Support in Africa
The Charles Hayward Foundation funds charitable programs and projects that improve the livelihoods of disadvantaged communities in the Commonwealth countries of Africa. The Foundation accepts applications from UK charities. Projects should focus at the grassroots level with proven local partners. Categories for support include water and sanitation; capacity building in agriculture and income-generating activities; and health. Grants are up to £15 thousand. Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund — Biodiversity Conservation in Tanzania
The Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) releases a call for Letters of Inquiry for organizations that address the conservation of biodiversity in light of climate change in the Indian Ocean Islands of Tanzania and Zanzibar. CEPF expects to make between 6-10 awards with a maximum value of US$200 thousand. Eligibility for grants extends to NGOs, community groups, private enterprises, universities, and other civil society applicants. The deadline for letters of inquiry is 04 September 2024. Link

The Fast Forward invites applications for the 2025 Accelerator Program to support and scale tech nonprofits. Tech innovations may include agri-tech or clean energy, among others. Whitley Fund for Nature — Whitley Awards 2024
The Whitley Fund for Nature (WFN) offers the Whitley Awards to outstanding biodiversity conservation leaders in developing countries around the world. The awards are both an international prize and a form of project funding, currently £50 thousand over one year. Stockholm Resilience Center — SwedBio Collaboration Program
The SwedBio Collaboration Program contributes to ideas, methods, and policies regarding how biodiversity, ecosystem services, and resilience help sustain livelihoods. SwedBio welcomes submissions of concept notes for project ideas. SwedBio contributes to shorter projects through a small-grants program (max. SEK 500 thousand).
